I'd have liked to have seen a couple more changes, but a team that if fit and firing is strong and you'd fucking well hope gets the three points today.
Out of interest, who else did you want changed?

Did anyone expect us to win the CL? Like, really?

We lost to Juve who reached the final a couple times in the last 3 years and are wily Italian champions.

That team/manager is no joke.

I don't see this game as being something that should break the spirit of the fans if we don't win, just because Juve knocked us out.

Saying that, we have more than enough to gain a solid win here and I expect our players to deliver a strong performance, be professional and re-concentrate their efforts.

These players have suffered disappointments enough to know that you get back on the horse, immediately, and gallop on to your next goal.

That's the main thing I'm looking for - attitude.

We need to mature in this respect when big things don't go our way.

Fans too.
I like this.

Is Winks carrying a knock, or really fallen out of favor?
The latter I think, and tbf, he really hasn't been great since he's come back from injury. Wouldn't surprise me if he has surgery in the summer or something. A great shame.

Personally I would of liked Lamela and/or Moura to start, but I can’t hate on that side really just a preference of mine

But if it’s not working then Poch, I implore you, make a sub before the 78th minute!!

If rose and aurier can find some form this could be our strongest team bar Toby. Big game for wanyama to stake his claim for that cm slot. Definitely our best midfield pairing in my view. COYS

Liking the team.

Good to see Wanyama and Rose back in to freshen things up a bit, would have been tempted to keep Trippier I. As reckon would have been ideal game for him to have some chances to create but Aurier also needs games to bed in.

Dier actually on the bench shocker! (although probably due to him carrying injury).

Today will be a real test of character. I think we'll either wimp to a feeble draw like we did against lower table sides earlier in the season after big CL games, or we'll realise that the league is the most important thing now and come out all guns blazing for a result. I think if we do the latter we'll give them a good drubbing and I'm hoping the improved mentality we've displayed since Christmas in the league will make the latter more likely than the former. Either way, I don't see this as being just an average game.

I agree with your sentiments and I do think he has shown quality. But on the other side ... who would you drop?

I don't thin that's true. He'll start, even just for a little bit of last minute experience.
He started in the FA cup and I expect the same against Swansea.

Dele and Son looked tired midweek. It wouldn't be 'dropping' them per se.

Good lineup. Dier needs the and good opportunity for Aurier and Rose. All the matches are important but this one is not going to make or break our season anymore than the others.

Looking for a comfortable, professional win.

Dembele looked fucked towards the end the other night, and hasn't been awe-inspiring in the last few games, so I'd have probably given him a breather - I guess though they're satisfied with his recovery and how he has been in the lead up to the match. I'd have taken Alli out of the firing line too in all honesty, and am expecting a big performance from him today.

It would also allow a formation I want to see tried at some point, 4-1-4-1 with Lamela and Eriksen dual number 10's and Son/Moura flanking Kane. Similar to how City line up. Might work, might not... I don't like to die wondering though, and hope it's a system in Poch's consideration.
