I hope there is no truth
I would be well pissed that we screwed this season over to get Allegri who was a flop in the Italian league

I'm guessing nobody is giving much Credence to the Conte reference then?

Not attainable? Out of our league?

Those are genuine questions, due to the fact that I know bugger all about the guy, or his ability as a manager. That said, Tevez proclaimed him to be on the same level as Ferguson  http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/300777.html
He seems to have put Milan back further than moyes has with United. Why would we want someone that's been sacked? Levy needs to be looking at in demand candidates, not out of work ones.
But we all know why we ended up with AVB instead of a Rogers or Martinez.....

You've lost me.
This post is about Allegri?
So I gave my opinion on him.

Yes, the thread is MOSTLY about Allegri. However, as I said, read the headline again, then read my post again, then it SHOULD all become clear :ROFLMAO: (y)

EDIT: Christ, Matt, even in the original post you quoted, I 'bolded' the fella I was talking about :ROFLMAO:

Conte has done a fantastic job at Juve. V difficult to see him leaving the Italian champions, with CL football as well, to join us, being realistic.

Conte would not just be an interesting option, Conte would blow any other potential options out of the water. The guy is probably one of the finest managers around. Taking a bellow par, under preforming Juventus side and turning them to undoubtedly the best team in the country. He is young, got a great pedigree and tactically innovative. It is a pity that there is no chance he is going to Tottenham.

But he's still technically an out of work manager, ergo one where we don't have to pay a release fee.

Good for us if we got him, but an irregular situation. How often are proven managers out of work?
The likes of Wenger, Ferguson, Guardiola etc leave their clubs when THEY want to leave, they don't get sacked.
I left mourinho off, being such an abrasive character means he's made his job untenable at times.
Anchelotti is unfortunate to have been sacked but has none the less.

Was LVG sacked from any of his clubs?

I'm certainly not saying you'll never be a top manager if you have a sacking on your cv, but at the moment, we need someone who's proven to be at least almost unsackable.

Wait! They cut the rest of the article where Agnew went on to say that the Tooth Fairy was ruled out of contention too... how reliable is this guy?!
