Watford have told Spurs can bag winger Ashley Young - if they buy now play later.

Tottenham are putting together a players-plus-cash package - after Young snubbed a £9.65million move to West Ham. But the Hornets want him loaned back for the rest of the season.

Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd said: "I want cash, players and Ashley here until the Summer."

do u really, well you can f*** right off!

we need him on board now. if thats the deal y dont we wait till the summer when his price may go down cos they will be relagated and perhaps some of this hype will decrease.

I get to see Watford through work for many games. Young is a right footed player who plays on the left and cuts inside at the edg of the penalty box.

If we got him I think we'll see less of him than Wayne Routledge. Young stands out in a very less than ordinary side.

Good luck to Boothroyd I say, but lets look elsewhere please.

    Yeah, right mate.

I don't know why, as he's going to be looking for a new job soon....

dont want him, we dont need him and the price is far to high

Routledge could do a similar job and will not cost us a thing

better to wait until summer and get a Natural LW

I don't know about that. Nobody expected Watford to be promoted, so Aidy did very well last season. On the other hand, everybody expected them to be relegated after their very modest signings last summer. Now their situation is what everybody expected it to be. Anything else would be a bonus. And if you consider their material, they haven't played all that bad after all. Especially when you remember that their best player has been out for most of the season. Without King they've had very little attacking power and if you don't have money to get someone else, what can you do? Since King got injured, they've scored 5 goals in 13 games. Now that Young seems to be heading to Villa, I'd say that they've done the only reasonable thing. Cash in with their only players worth anything.

Agree with you all, but the club will have to decide soon what to do about Routledge. He's forced his way into the first team at Fulham and is playing well. In that situation, would you want to come back here to sit on the bench?
I don't know how long he has on his contract, but if he refuses to extend it, we will have to sell him, however reluctantly.

And I'd like to go out with Stacey Slater from Eastenders, Aidy but we don't always get what we want.
