So the ground holds around 55,000

Does anyone have any idea what our allocation is likely to be based on previous history and knowledge of Ajax allocations etc

Really hoping for around 10% of the ground, around 5k but I'm probably dreaming

Any thoughts people?

What are we looking at, 400 points?
I have 100, I can't go to the home leg as my fucking bitch wife booked a fucking holiday during the fucking football season despite me asking to hold off to May (still in school time!)
I'd dearly love to go to Ajax. It's a team I like, a place I like and a stadium I've wanted to see for a long time.

Bah.

I may be completely wrong, but I could swear I read somewhere that CL away fan allocations are 5%.

If that’s right (and I have no idea if it is), that comes to 2,750.

But again, might be completely wrong.

That doesn’t surprise me, if I’m being honest, if my guess as to how they decide the points is anywhere near accurate.

It must be something like taking the allocation, then sorting everyone by loyalty points, adding in a percentage to account for those who would inevitably not apply for a ticket and then set the level from there.

With the tie being all-England, the number of people who would be able to make it would have been a lot higher than say if it had been, say, against Juve or Porto.

That’s my take on it, anyway. Conjecture, of course, but makes sense.

Just looked on the CL rules & regs:

Home clubs must make at least 5% of the total approved UEFA capacity of their stadium available exclusively to visiting supporters, in a segregated, safe area. In addition, visiting clubs are entitled to purchase 200 top-category tickets for their VIP supporters, sponsors, etc., but they are not obliged to take the full allocation (see Articles 16 and 23 of the UEFA Stadium Infrastructure Regulations and Article 19 of the UEFA Safety and Security Regulations).

All visiting team ticket allocations and ticketing arrangements may be altered by written agreement between the two clubs concerned.

They open it up for all season ticket holders to apply for a ticket.
When they know how many applied between the opening and closing dates they work out how far down the loyalty point ladder they need to go to allocate all the tickets.
It's fairly simple.

There is a list on the OS. You can easily work it out.

Amsterdam is the ultimate away day.

Would love to go. Say we'll take large numbers regardless.

If you work from the bottom up, add the members with X points together, when you get to 400-499 there are 2,364 with that mean points.
If there are 2,750 seats available you're going to be needing upper 300's to get a ticket.

It's fairly logical to assume those with that many points go away a lot so the majority will apply.

A allocation of 2,750 is not a lot, I can see a lot of fans without tickets travelling to Amsterdam just to take in the atmosphere, so it could be very busy in the Dutch capital.

It'll be 5% and at a guess around 400 loyalty points?

I've booked up, but already accepted my chances of getting a ticket are slim to none, as virtually every single Spurs fan I know has booked on. Sure the pubs and bars will be packed with yids so should be decent either way!

I'd be so tempted to go over. I've never been to Amsterdam.

Think I'm just gonna have to go, even though I've only got 300 points, and hope for the best.

Any chance of issues out there? What are their fans and police like towards us?
I know we haven't played Ajax since about 1980 but there must be some history with other English clubs.

There will be around 100,000 spurs fans in Amsterdam for that game. There won't be any trouble with the Ajax fans due to the mutual dislike of Chelsea and Feyernoord.

Already booked accommodation, Eurostar (as had free voucher) and flight back. If I don't get a ticket, there are worse cities to be in (as in almost any city I have ever visited).

I know we haven't played Ajax since about 1980 but there must be some history with other English clubs.
We almost certainly won't have any trouble with the Ajax support, we're historically pretty friendly. The risk is that some muppets from Feyernoord decide to take a day trip.
