Can young striker Daniel Akindayini follow in Harry Kane's footsteps at Tottenham Hotspur?

Another pointless article. No quotes. Miles away from the first team. Average scoring record.

Why bother posting, especially on the front of the site. Makes SC look like newsnow or worse. Even goal.com have more cred than hitc.

Absolutely agreed

Another crap story from HTC with no foundation - does the site exist simply to get 'hits' on its site and an Ad income ? Or does its editor know very little about isome of ts stories ? Whatever, its a site to avoid if you want genuine information.

Back to the storyline. According to several good youth watchers Akidayini was apparantly inititially offered a 3rd year Academy Scholarship contract rather than a Professional contract (like about 8 of his age group) - which would sum up how he was regarded.

His goalscoring record is probably his strongest attribute, many other skills like hold up play, bringing others into play etc are weak points. Miles from the first team, much more likely to be released in the summer.

Can we stop regarding HTC as a worthwhile sourse of articles now ? Much more valid views posted everyday by SC posters, especially on the youth thread

To be fair if the article wasn't posted then it wouldn't have been followed up with your informative post about the player.

I realise the article isn't the best example of journalism, nor is HITC a particularly brilliant site, but I had never heard of this player so its useful to hear a bit more about him and by posting you have given me that information so thank you.

Yep of course it does and links to their stories from good sites like SC will help them get higher up in the search ranking thus resulting in more income for them.

Cheers Maws

FYI informed opinion by many youth watchers is regularly posted in the youth thread on all the youth players - virtually all u18's who regularly play will be well known (and those who do not will be noted) ans all u21's covered in depth, hence my comments. Whereas HTC seemed to have picked the only u21 striker and linked him with Kane to produce a non story.

I've never seen anything original or useful on the HTC site, so hence my distain for it - and my worry that genuine Spurs fans will be misled by its ill informed opinions.

Yes i try to avoid posting articles from HITC, seeking out the original story where I can, sometimes its not that easy so i end up just using their version of it.

Thanks for posting Maw. If you lot don't like a source stop hitting the link. I don't read anything from The Star/Express/Metro or HITC. It is actually easier not reading it than it is reading it.

Most articles about Spurs I just read the quotes any way.
