He suffered an injury at the wrong point in the season and was playing catch up after that. All he needs is good coaching and some guidance and we could have a real top player on our hands that has come through our own academy! He has shown glimpses in big games that the ability is there so he just needs to find some rhythm and consistency. Can't beleive how many are writing him off already. I would rather we sold Lennon. We almost sold Bale to Forest who was in similar circumstances.....just a thought

Are we all misreading the intent of Pardew making Townsend one of his "targets"....maybe Andros better be ready to protect himself from a head-butt when he is in Newcastle!

Newcastle have apparently offered the St Etienne manager the job of replacing Pardew, so that rules this transfer rumour out!
