Watched him play quite a few times when he was on loan at Brentford. He really was a cut above the rest, he made the difference to their team that season. Shame his injury came when it did.Would not like to see him go without getting a chance to show what he can do.

I think thats the problem, he cant seem to stay fit, certainly not lacking the technical ability.

I said it many months ago that I heard they were concerned about his ability to recover from injuries. I think it was always a concern that they carried. Cannot remember where i heard it from particularly, but it was one of the youth coaches who mentioned that it a function I was at.

He will probably get the pre season to show poch that he can fit into the team. If it looks like it won't work out by then, at least he got a chance to make it happen. IMO he will impress during the pre season and get his opportunity with us, I still remember Eriksen without prompting speaking highly of Alex during training. I still have hope he'll show us all what Eriksen saw.

Perhaps his decision to play for West Brom has counted against him in more ways than one. Would have made more sense playing for a title challenging team, even if it was in the Championship.

What makes you say that though?

He's a talented academy graduate who hasn't been given his chance at Spurs. There was also a woeful decision to send him to WBA last season, he's been treated badly.

If he's given a chance and doesn't make it, then fine. But to simply toss a hot prospect away after a bad injury and a dodgy loan, sends out a terrible message to anyone coming through the academy.

Give him a go and he doesn't live up to expectations = taking a hit on the transfer fee. Whereas sell him now and get a very good fee for him. With the direction the club is heading in we need players who are already above Pritchards ceiling and/or have higher potential and that means selling fringe players who will bring in decent money which can be invested in quality replacements.

people complaining about his move to WBA, but if he is that good - good enough to make a Tottenham team with eyes on a title then he should of been starting in that WBA team no doubt. You can't blame the move to WBA, they're not paying his wages so they can rot him in reserves out of spite

He didn't get games because he was recovering from injury.
