I really want us to take a risk of Pato, everyone loved him for AC. I would hazard a guess and say his attitude has improve ld and we've all seen what Poch can do to a players mentality and fitness (see Dembele).

He's naturally talented and would potentially be a fantastic addition.

Still only 26... £10m isn't a ridiculous outlay when you consider what Benik Afobe has cost Bournemouth.

I'd be interested to know the kind of wages he'd be after, if they're not stupid then I think it's a risk worth taking.

recent his team are trying to sell him is because they can't meet his £30k a week wages. He turned down £300k a week to go to China last week.

He's only 26?!?! :wideyed:

He'd maybe not be such a bad idea if the price was right. But, still, that's a risk. He WAS fantastic, but we'd still be banking on him rediscovering his form. He was always valued so high because of what everyone believed his potential was, he never really, did anything of great note...

... but at 26, if Charlie Austen can be a 15 goal a year premier league striker with QPR, Pato could, you imagine, at least hold his own.

Pato achieved 15 league goals once in his career - for AC Milan when they were stronger. That's his best ever league return. I wouldn't bank on him coming to the Prem and outscoring Austin let alone getting to 15 goals a year regularly..

Hold his own, that's all I'm saying. He'd be back up to Kane. He's not going to be in a position where I'd expect him to score anywhere close to 15 league goals, but he could be an interesting sub and good value for early EL and cup games.

It's commendable that he doesn't just want to go somewhere and take a big payday, but I don't think that place should be to a club where he'd have to do a lot of heavy running, which would aggravate the problem that has plagued his career so far.

Seems he's being linked with everyone and their uncle. Sounds like an agent spreading rumours to try and drum up trade to me.

That's exactly what it is.

The fact no one has bitten yet is also telling.

Seems so weird to me when they have Kenedy who looks like an awesome talent whenever I see him. He's also incredibly versatile.

Reckon he'll turn up at West Ham. By all accounts he's being offered to everyone this window!
