I understand your pro Spurs sentiment, but do not underestimate the importance to the players to be involved at International level, whilst still playing for Spurs.

If they were dropped/withdrawn regularly, then that could eventually be an influencing factor in looking for a move.

Being in the US, the England team is irrelevant to you, heck a lot in the UK find it the same, but not the players.

This ban is an over-reaction. Unfortunately the football authorities and referees are obsessed with themselves and therefore this small offence gets more punishment than brutal tackles that are given yellow cards. It is a bit like the BBC when one of their minor presenters dies and it is the main headline in the news. These people are just interested in their status and power and have lost touch with reality.
