Dele Alli was shown a straight red for a reckless foul on Gent's Brecht Dejaegere

Can't disagree in all fairness.

Doesn't matter too much. Should we make CL would've needed to rotate anyway.
Just means he'll be fresh for the weekend games

he will gutted though, no denying that.

Still yet, it was a fair punishment for the crime.

He must learn

At least he will be raring to go for the final 3 group games- it'll be like having a new signing

Can we not name him in the Under 19's squad (which he may not even be eligible to play for, i dunno), let him miss three of their games, then he'll be hot to trot for the senior team?

I'm kidding, it's not that bad news though, as others have said, he'll get to focus on the league then.

We kinda knew this was coming. It is a blow there's no denying that but hopefully we'll be able to get through our group in the Champions League (I know it could be Europa but I'm optimistic) without one of our best players for half the games. At least we'll have him for the league games either side of those early fixtures.
