Dele Alli’s three-match European ban means Tottenham will be without him for half of their Champions League group stage campaign.

Hopefully we will have enough firepower against Dortmund at home and the game away at Apoel should (I say should) be a banker win. Losing him for the away game at Real is a blow but our best chance of points against them will be at Wembley and he's available.Let's hope he comes bouncing back on Nov 1st . It's not ideal but it could have been worse.

It is what it is, and it's been in place since we went out of the Europa league so it's hardly a shock

At least he will be fresh for the league games

Not an impossible group. Get six points from Apoel (easier said than done, granted), and a 'home' win against Dortmund, and we're almost over the line. Can't remember if Champs League groups are based on goal difference or head to head but it may come down to who out of Spurs and Dortmund better contain Real Madrid's attacking threat.

Still, can't wait to see the team facing off against Madrid after they put us out in 2010/11

Reasons why we need a bigger squad. At least we know who will play 90 minutes in the games before and after the Champions League games.
