This is a little game I like to play at this time of year. You pick a starting 11 and 7 substitutes to make up what you think represents the best team of the year. The catch is you can only chose one player from each football club. Mine is as follows:
Subs
Gomes (Watford)
Klose (Norwich)
Daniels (Bournemouth)
Sigurdsen (Swansea)
Cabaye (Crystal Palace)
Defoe (Sunderland)
Rondon (West Brom)
Very hard choice this year, normally when I do this your scrambling in trying to make a decent team after picking the first few, but this season I found it hard to leave some players out. Guess it shows the more evened out nature of the PL this year. I chose the team based on what could actually play, which is why I put Kante in, you need someone who can cover a lot of ground to act as the engine for what remains a very soft midfield. Left back was tough, but all the best left backs in the league are all in teams where better options are available. Pieters has always seemed pretty goood to me.
De Gea
(Man Utd)
Clyne------Alderweireld --------Van Dijk-----Pieters
(Liverpool) (Tottenham) (Southampton) (Stoke)
Willian-------Ozil -------Kante-------Payet
(Chelsea) (Arsenal) (Leicester) (West Ham)
Lukaku---Aguero
(Everton) (Man City)
