Up until this fight all of Khan's opponents have been hand picked to suit his fighting style. They were also not known as big hitters.
Khan came up against his first decent opponent and got a good whooping  i'm just gutted i stuck a tenner on him to loose in the 2nd round.
Will be interesting to see how he comes back from this.
Or whether he does a Prince Nasseem and vanishes after his defeat.

I'm in no way a boxing expert but how does he comeback from a defeat like that? He said he made a little mistake but to me he looked like he completely folded. Surely whoever he fights next will be handpicked and everyone will know that. Wouldn't it be better for him to have some low-key fights now? I guess it won't be possible with all the hype they build for box office fights.

Glad i didn't pay for this too.

I much prefer UFC myself. Just watch out for the Rashad Evans KO of Chuck Liddell from the weekend. Now thats a Knockout!

We paid for this but luckily there was 5 of us paying so it was only £3 each. I think his career is over to be honest, he'll never be a top contender after this.

This is a reoccurring problem in British sport nowadays. He achieved something worthwhile at the olympics at a young age so he becomes a media star and we put all our hopes in the one basket. Because of his weak jaw he is not going to achieve anything near the highest level in professional boxing so early in his career.

Khan should be training hard and gaining experience for several years before being expected to move up anywhere near a world title. Because of his ability and weak jaw he will pick up good victories and cheap defeats along the way but only a strong personality and desire to keep on going will get him to the top.

I just wish we had several talented, well known boxers at a similar weight to Khan so not all the attention and hopes of Britain would be on someone who cannot realistically hope to get to the top anytime soon.

If he can dodge the lunches he'll be alright.

Some people just cannot take a punch, its as simple as that.

Oh dear me........ Either Warren is cashing in on him now as he know's he flogging a dead horse in the long run or he know's something about Barrera we dont as this is a mismatch on a massive scale. Surely a Barrera fighting to any level of his potential will take Khan to school..... Not even Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker can come up with a plan to hide that chin for 12 rounds....

I don't care how much coaching Khan has received from Freddie Roach he is no way ready to face Barrera. He should be going for the British or European title, which themselves would be significant tests for the lad.

I don't know where I've been for the past couple of months because I only saw mention of this fight yesterday. My first reaction was, 'bloody hell, Barrera?!' Talk about making the step up or what?

I, like the rest of you cannot imagine any other result apart from a Barrera win. The only chance Khan will have is a stoppage in the first couple of rounds, if it goes any further than that then Khan could be taken to school for the rest of the fight.

It's an incredibly brave move on Khan's part to take this fight and really shows his intentions for the world stage so you've got to admire the size of his bollocks.

If he does manage to pull off a win then he'll quickly become a superstar in the states and he could go anywhere from there.

He's going in to this fight as the favourite, so that added pressure. I've set up a vbookie event for this one if anyone's interested.
