On a positive note, there will soon be plenty of seats available on matchdays, thanks to our expansive free flowing football.

I think we should play 442 or try 352 as 4231 with inverted wingers doesn't work. All the teams play it and its boring.

I think we should have a win percentage for fans and if their win percentage drops below a certain level they should be sent emails that just boo when they open them.
Then they should be sent tickets to Plymouth Argyle matches until they can get their win percentage back up, and if they can't they're dead to us.

(yes that is a big full stop, rather than saying "full stop" which I've just done)

I think it's laughable that people want to keep Townsend and sell Lamela, while citing Lamela's end product as a reason he should go.

I hate Liverpool more than Arsenal. But mostly because their supporters. Bindippers are arrogant and deluded.

I am of the opinion that waiting until late in the window protects our club from hiring mercenaries on a knee jerk, simply for the money. Call me romantic, call me delusional, i want players here who want to be here. If we go in for a player alongside two or three other clubs, if the player is undecided and is only considering us because we're offering comparable wages, i don't want him.

We've seen what happens when we sign players to high value contracts and they don't come up to scratch, and it's a given that shifting players who have flopped is much harder than bringing in youngsters that have potential, but where teams like Chelsea & Citeh have built relationships amongst teams that can afford to trade on a whole different level to Spurs, so are able to move players around in the wage bracket that they're prepared to move in - these are mercenaries, these are players in it for the money and nothing else. Sure, cups would be nice, but when you're earning >£150k per week, who honestly gives a shit?

I would be much happier to see a quality player considered dependable and loyal than a world superstar who's head will be turned with the waft of a fistful of notes.

Inverted wingers and the widespread adoption of them is proof pretty much no one in football has a bloody clue what they're doing.

The treatment of Capoue is the single most frustrating man management decision Pochettino has done. Capoue is now completely outperforming Dier, Bentaleb & Mason, whilst playing for Watford. Just like last season, we could have needed him already this season.

Is that right re Capoue's Watford form ? Doesn't surprise me . When he first came to us he was outstanding . A worry if it was all politics . Stambo came on for PSG recently too and did ok ,weird he gets minutes there and frozen out here . Summink about the Frenchies that Mopo didn't like...not sure it was lack of ability .

Yes, it's correct.

Of course there is "something" to it I, or we, don't know the full details about. Which is why I pointed out Capoue specifically. I think Pochettino made the wrong call months back, no matter how just or noble his reasoning might have been.

Tbh his tenure has been a litany of wrong calls right the way back to his appt of the original captains thru to persevering with Lamela

I see where you are coming from. But Capoue is the one that stands out to me personally. I completely understand the Lamela situation. He is actually trying to implement some of the instructions from Pochettino in terms of pressing. (This last comment referring to last season only).

In similar vein as above, Poch's man-management skills leave a lot to be desired and all of the outcasts could have helped us this season (Capoue or Stambouli as a DM, Lennon to add pace, Adebayor as cover for Kane when he came off vs Stoke). I agree with punishing certain types of behaviour but it appears Poch is too stubborn for his own good.
