One less moany bastard on the forum. A lot of these "Fans" need to go back and watch videos of the 90's and early 2000's before MJ took over. We were rubbish a lot of the time and had a team of Tremazani's, Calderwells, Nethercotts, Dozells, Vega's etc. We were terrible, finishing in the top 8 was a big achievement and European football was something you watched Man UTD and Arsenal play in a chunky backed TV. To my mind its only under the current ownership that we've kicked on and been consistent in any way shape or form. We've not Yoyo'd we've kept a strong consistent squad and had some very good players both past and present.
Unfortunately not everyone has seen us when we were pony and sponsored by them and not everyone remembers what European exile is like.
Please show some restraint and calm down.
I think the poster to essentially writing out being disillusion and with the club,I've. Seen spurs relegated ,I been a STH. Since the early 80s.
I'd would say I went 90 percent of our games home and away in the 90s.
I've seen the defence of calderwood,Nethercott,Austin and Edinburgh.
I felt like I was part of the club.
I've had spells when I fell out of love with the game but now I hardly recognise Tottenham.
My eyes have seen the glory ,3 fa cups,3 league ,I eufa cup.
Finishing 4th isn't glory to me.
I've been Spurs since a wee lad in 1957, totally understand the OP's point of view but with Levy at least the club isn't going to do a Leeds or a Pompey any time soon. It is unthinkable to support anyone else as a lot of Man City and Chelsea supporters probably have over the years.
It's a bit depressing sometimes (well, most of the time) but what ya gonna do? Give up football altogether? If the OP has been a supporter since 1969 well at least we've had a few cups since then, hey it could have been Preston NE, won the first league then pretty much fuck all for the last hundred years.
Still, onwards and upwards there's always next year. Or perhaps I've been a fan so long I'm used to being deluded...
As I write this we have just beaten Brighton and I see we have Newcastle in the next round, they have just beaten Man City.
I have noticed over the years that shit teams beat us and then go on a good run. Now that IS depressing.
Never left I would have thought. Just another hissy fit. It's OK. Everyone has them.Back yet?
If he decides to lurk, we wouldn't make him feel embarrassed if he came back.
Would we.
