El resto de clubs son de la Premier League, uno de ellos, el Manchester United y el otro podría ser el Arsenal o Tottenham.

30 appearances for Barcelona last season, although most of them were coming off the bench.

Amazing player on YouTube, one of the best you could see.

Fairly awful player across any given 90 minute match.

I get your point and perhaps you intended the hyperbole for effect but I wouldn't say he was 'awful'. But he is indeed underwhelming considering the noise that was made about him. He was underwhelming (at least as far as my expectations) with Valencia before that as well. I always thought I was missing the magic in his game because I came away with the 'tidy player' feeling but nothing outstanding. Sounds like the Mendes hype-train had 2 first class occupants with Gomes and Sanches.

At his age Modric was little more than 'tidy with nothing outstanding'. The key is, he has great intelligence, sees the game from a birds eye view almost, lovely technique and a great physique to complement it all. What he needs is a manage who can help him understand where to exercise freedom and when to exercise discipline...

Depends on who was watching; Harry and most Spurs supporters, then yes. For others he was the dog's bollocks. Do you not remember his performance in Euro2008? Team of the tournament stuff. On a similar stage Gomes is not running things at the Confed cup. That said, I take your point.
