He confirmed last week he will not be signing a new contract.

Could do far worse on a free transfer.

We will end up with half the Marseille squad though.

Thauvin, Gignac, Imbula, Ayew...

Their own demise. Levy loves a bargain, and they failed to renegotiate contracts on two of those players, all the while are in a bit of financial stress. It's the perfect storm for Levy.

I'm not stating that it's a possibility, but that Gignac has a similar playing style, although he has a bit more pace. I was curious if he would take Huntelaar, as he is a more well-known player (more frequently watched team and league).

Oh okay fine, I thought something had happened to his contract that I didn't know about

I'm incredibly suspicious of any player who has had the best season of his life just as he's decided to go leave his club on a Bosman. What does that say about his motivation? When he gets the big contract will he go back into 10 goals a season is enough mode?

Always been a bit of a fan of his, but I can't see him being ID'd by our brain trust as a player who fits the transfer model

He was waiting to know if Bielsa will stay, as his system was a big part of Gignac's success.

"I think I will leave at the end of the season," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "I want to know if (coach Marcelo) Bielsa will stay, but I want a big challenge. I will consider all proposals carefully."

Would be a great signing on a free imo.

This is how we keep keep ending up with such mediocre squads. Buying players cause they are cheap, so why not right?

This only bloat our wage bill and block youngsters way into first team squad. If he is a striker Poch really want then fair enough, lets go for it. If its a "Levy-special", where he is signed due to price then i really hope we pass.

The big money should not be spent on a striker as long as we have Kane. Gignac would be a good bakcup option, and would leave us with more money to spend on a CM.
