To those saying he's an alternative to Barkley, isn't he more of a CM than a CAM? I haven't seen too much of him tbh.

I've only ever seen him play deep.Ive often thought in games against lesser teams we dont really need dier or wanyama.Would be nice to have a deep sitting playmaker that can ping 40 yrd passes alongside dembele.No idea if he could play AM as well.But right now imo we are desperate for 2 more bodies anywhere through CM to striker.

Surely winks can play his part? We should be spending money on an Eriksen back up/ and wide / forward player to push on the team. Think he looked good for Valencia where he probably played most games. But given sporadic chances like Barca his confidence looked shot. He certainly isn't gonna replace dembele or vic. So games again could be a minimum.

Can play both I believe

I wonder if there is any truth in the loan part. Ordinarily I wouldn't be sure but based on the time a loan deal would mean we get at least one attacking player, if all else fails.

juve dont need him they are stacked with similar players and we can rule out west ham for obvious reasons(namely being dreadful and shite)

Depends on if there's an option to buy at the end maybe? Usually we don't go for flat loan deal

Yeah thats what i would usually think. But the circumstances seem different this time.

Had an awful year. Was very poor with Barcelona and was poor at the confed cup as well.

Sure he has had a bad time at Barcelona but he was quality at Valencia before he moved. The competition for places and lack of game time has probably hampered his development. Not sure how he would adapt to England but technically I rate him and he can play CAM quite easily. Different to Barkley as he doesn't really drive forward with the ball however.

Barca often seem to push for buy back clauses, and it's good business sense for them. Their young players come with the club's reputation like, and many of them would hold hope of returning one day.

Quite a few rumours that Poch would play Barkley as a CM if he were to come, Gomes completely strikes me as his alternative. I have been vey critical of him over the last year at Barca and very sceptical of signing him. But let's hope the Poch effect will change him into the player he could be.

That just leaves a speedy wide forward and possibly a replacement for Janssen
