I'd take to make up the numbers Denis Suarez all day long. Versatile, offers options in CM, AM & AML & chips in with his fair share of goals

He's a tall, strong CM who has the ability to pass and dribble but has been pretty poor at Barca.

From highlights alone (so the usual disclaimers apply), especially of his Valencia days where he was considered a star, he looked more of a Dele than an Eriksen or Carrick. Although it's much easier to highlight stuff in the final 3rd.

I seem to recall when reading up on him that Barca fans think he's been used too deep for them so I'm not really sure where he would fit in for us.

While many in this thread are prejudiced against Gomes simply because he doesn't score goals, or make assists, or tackle, there are others who appreciate his mastery of the short sideways or backward pass. In this respect there are few players who are better or more prolific .

I do wonder if there's a huge disconnect between how the club and the majority of fans rate Andre Gomes. Rebrabs 'will be happier' might be a bit of base if it is him!
