When you dream of Spurs selling Sissoko only for us to be continually linked with Andre Gomes...

I just hope that, he mentally isn't disinterested in football and wants to get back to the level he was pre-barca, with how I'm hoping we switch to 4-3-3 a player of his ilk with Eriksen will be vital.

I hope this isn't our idea of a Dembele replacement, I'd feel ok with him replacing Sissoko as a CM backup but I'm hoping for a better primary CM signing

Gomes imo would be a direct replacement for Lamela. TBH I'd rather Lamela

I'm not sure he's what we need person

He's more a deep lying CM from what I have seen. Looked great pre Barca but hasn't kicked on at all since moving there. He spreads the ball wide very well, but I'm not sure he is direct enough with his passing. I was told pre window 2 CM's if Dembele left, which looks increasingly likely now. As second one of the two I think I could get on board with it. As the main/only incoming CM I would be disappointed.

He is an option though that we have been looking at for a long time.
