What about your motivations regarding Tim. I mean he is delivering better results, so your stance must have similiar motives, right? So in analogy Tim is better looking than you, more clever than you, wealthier than you and has a job that he loves and thus your attitude towards him, right?

He's on £500,000k per annum so one out four isn't bad. My motivations regarding Sherwood are purely professional, I'm sure he's a decent enough fellow but just isn't yet capable of managing a football club in the Premier League be it Spurs or Sunderland.

Yet you wanted AVB to manage Spurs and continue to manage Spurs????

Doing well in Russia.

So by the end of this season, He will have won more trophies than Rodgers and Martinez's combined and his bank balance will be larger than both of theirs combined.

Can't believe people are comparing the Russian League to the Prem. With a squad like Zenit's these results are expected, if not the bare minimum required of a manager

There are decent teams, Zenit just haven't played against any of top 5 yet. If he is to win silverware, he needs to win or at least draw against Lokomotiv away. There is also Dynamo fixture coming up.

Spalletti lost 9 games out of 90 on past 3 seasons at Zenit on RPL. That's pretty much what is expected there.

But he'd lost 2, drawn 2 and won just one of the 5 league games before he was sacked. They managed to draw at home to FC Tom Tomsk. So a dramatic turnaround has coincided with AVB's arrival. Could easily be new manager bounce, but still...

True - however he won them two titles, finished 2nd last season and was still 2nd by the time of sacking. Little room for misteps, even if Spalletti lasted there for quite a long, it's windy position.

Well, yeah. I agree it doesn't mean all that much till both the Lokomotiv and Dinamo matches have been negotiated. Their form under AVB should give them some belief, but I guess we'll see.

He'll face couple of ex-spurs against Lokomotiv with Corluka and Pav there.

The 'Like a Boas' hashtag is genius, considering it's the English Twitter stream for a Russian team.

Anyway, as you were.

I said it before and I'll say it again : If parting company with AVB was such a right thing to do, then why is he being brought up in just about every conversation since his departure?

Yep, flukey are condemnable pending on who is the manager, right? Or superb individual efforts?

Both. The second goal was a fluke as Vaz Te's shot was saved but bounced back off him and in. The third, Morrison's goal was a superb individual effort. They were both in the same game, but you obviously don't remember.

Well, it was magnificent compared to attack which was bloody worst in the league. Luckily few lucky pen calls and we managed to score on par with 19th Fulham. As for that superb and solid defence, 1,3125 goals conceded per game -> it's 1,4736 under Sherwood now. So yeah, it's gotten slightly worse -> now attackingwise we had 0,9375 goals per game (yeah, that's with those lucky pens - abysmal), now we have 1,8947. We've more than doubled our goals scored average. And that's with the mess we are, just how bad was AVB?

As usual, hiding behind walls of fairly irrelevant statistics rather than actually watching games so you can deny that for the most part we've been an absolute shambles under Sherwood. Here's another stat for you. Under AVB this season we kept 14 clean sheets in 26 games. Under Sherwood we've kept four in 24.

No they aren't, in other we got away point against bottom half team, in other we failed to score and got 0 at home against bottom half team.

I'm pleased you read through my sarcasm.

Any reason you picked top five for your example?

What are you about - of course they were in the same game, I even quoted your comment on it. It's just that flukes and superb individual efforts seem more condemnable on your book pending on who is the manager.

Yep, points are really irrelevant. Perhaps we should concentrate on relevant stats like possession?

rather than actually watching games so you can deny that for the most part we've been an absolute shambles under Sherwood.

I've watched pretty much all of our games this season and I have zero problem admitting we've been at times absolute shambles under Sherwood. However you probably haven't watched us at all under AVB if you thought that was better.

Here's another stat for you. Under AVB this season we kept 14 clean sheets in 26 games. Under Sherwood we've kept four in 24.

26 games - so we're yet again digging up Tbilisis and such to make AVB seem less like a failure? At PL Sherwoods had what 5 clean sheets and AVB had 7? Then again AVB had 0 goals in 6 of his games, Sherwood in 4. Anyway, our goals per game average on PL has been over 100% better under Tim than under AVB. And that reflects to the points, hence quite a gap in points per game too.
