At least we're fun to watch under Dim.

I'd rather be fun to watch than super duper cautious.
Fun to watch under Tim? I've been bored to tears under both. Tim pisses me off more because he's a self serving prick, a hyporitical ****, and a disease who is completeky inept at managing. More goals does not mean more exciting or better. We've been worse under Tim. Much worse.

More points means. It's a result business. Besides when it comes to excitement almost anything is better than shit AVB served, he was as close to Santini in that department as one can be.

Timothy, we get it. You dont want to be sacked. And you have some absurd hatred for AVB. You tried to get him sacked his first month on the job, FFS. You're opinion is worthless. Sorry, Tim.

Oh really??? Putting words to my mouth, another trademark of you AVB fanboys. You can search my posts from past and see when I actually started to want him sacked. And no, it's not in the first month of the job, not even in the first year on the job. Can you say the same regarding current caretaker? Of course not.

Its okay, Tim. You're still manager right now for god knows why. No need to get your panties all twisted yet.

So you make up stories about other posters and after being commented about it, retort to really funny joke you've come up with. Classic AVB fanboy stuff.

Yeah if only that bellend Dany Boy had gone out and fetched Hulk, Moutinho, Bale, Falcao, Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi, Pele etc this summer then poor old victimised AVB would have had an easier time of things. Instead he had to make do with a top4 squad and only £100m worth of investment (I blame Tory cuts to be honest, the bastards).

I mean he only had like what.....18 whole months in the prem anyway to instigate some semblance of team attacking football and the fact it was getting progressively worse was totally misleading. I'm sure he would have turned it around once Aaron Lennon hit a purple patch and Robert Soldado learned to play up front on his own in front of a midfield that pass the ball like a fat kid passes cake.

I think the worst people in this whole saga are actually Adebayor and BAE for not being available for selection very often and that jocking showpony Lamela who thinks he flounce around on the bench all year despite costing us 30m smackers
Excuse me, but we were very close to landing Moutinho BEFORE Bale's last season at 31M, but it was reported that a 500K haggle by Levy broke that deal. Hulk, Villa, Coentrao and Willian (before it was revealed he was a douchebag) were very realistic targets after the Bale sale.

And how the hell were we going to pay them? All of them would want crazy salaries and we would be competing with super rich clubs who have lower wage taxes.

AVB had more than enough players and he intentionally opted not to use them. No sympathy for the guy whatsoever, his waste of a talented squad was utterly criminal

Eriksen, Vertonghen and Lloris are/were better signings than Hulk, Moutinho or Willian.
Lamela would have been chosen over Willian by 90% of the people on here.

Oh, and this we know how? Resorting to ad hominem attacks and pure speculation doesn't count for an argument... nice try though.

Vertonghen and Lloris were already in the squad! Jeez... don't you people have any real arguments? Eriksen, I'll grant but c'mon... really? 9-out-of-10 cats prefer... is not a good argument otherwise.

Totally agree apart from Moutinho was a different kind of player to those. He would have been an awesome signing and solved a lot of AVB's problems but it shows how reliant AVB is on world class individuals rather than being able to build a great team

For Top 4, unfortunately that's what it takes. AVB didn't create that situation.

I think most managers that are in the CL regularly rely on world class individuals.

Where was the ad hominem? We know AVB choose not to play the likes of Lamela, Eriksen, Soldado, Holtby, Sandro, Adebayor, Chadli together on a regular basis because they all spent long period fit and available at the same time. We know Adebayor was fit but AVB choose not to use him. We know BAE was fit but AVB sent him off to the Championhip and left him without left back cover.

That is logic. Speculation is saying the Moutinho deal fell through because Levy was haggling over a cheeky half mil

This year Everton, Arsenal, and Liverpool and fighting for top four spots and all are built on team football rather than being a squad of all stars. Yes Chelsea and City will always be up there with the money they can spend but a good manager will have his team perform greater than the sum of their parts. Man U last year had a fairly weak squad on paper for example.

AVB took a squad of exciting, talented creative players and had us playing the most boring insipid predictable football I have seen. And every game the teamsheet would go up, people would predict why it was the wrong line-up and what would go wrong, and every single game those people would be right

AVB rotated his squad well, thanks to him keeping us in all three cup competitions - but I guess he doesn't get any points for that. Bottom line is that AVB out before season's end meant Sherwood in. Are you still happy with that decision?

Moutinho isnt that good though is he. Hows missing out on one target who is much of a muchness to what we have been bringing in an excuse for regression?

I never got the Moutinho argument. The Hulk one even less.

You work with what you have got in surely? And who are just as good.

You never got the argument? Well let me spell it out: In order for a manager to do his job, he asks for resources that he requires to implement his plans. When he doesn't get them, and instead gets given a boat load of stuff he didn't ask for, it takes things that just little bit longer. As a manager, who was entrusted to take us forward - we should've given him at least that instead of undermining him. Sitting back and saying.... 'well, blah is perfectly good and so is blah blah' is irrelevant.
