Warnock's comments only really imply he is a little angry at Townsend for deciding to cut short his loan, not that he didn't like him previously or for personal/playing reasons.
I can understand his frustration, its a player less he has at his disposal and the reason for it seems somewhat pathetic.
Not being able to settle? he's only on loan for a short time for chirst sake and it was a decision made based on what would be best for his development as a player.
Warnock seems to be suggesting the player decided to leave because he heard of Birmingham's interest and fancied that more, we shall see. Personally I am a little disappointed by the attitude that this suggest for a player to be cutting short spells for such reasons.
Don't forget that this article is all Leeds putting their spin on things - and the reason given seems a bit thin. if Warnock wanted to keep him, I suspect that he could have found a way. It could be, for example that Warnock was not very encouraging about Townsend playing week in week out and hence the remark about Townsend going to Birmingham (where ex Spurs coach Chris Hughton would probably be likely to play him).
I doubt if we will hear Townsend's version so its all suposition atr the moment.
