Looks like he will be one of the first names on the team sheet next season at the moment.

I think he could take Lennons spot next season. He sees more of the ball, he's stronger, he's got a hell of a shot on him and he's fearless. He just rans past players for fun.

Something like this would be lovely.

Townsend - New Striker - Bale

I think we should buy a wide player who isnt a winger like a Son or Schurrle or perhaps Remy so we can have a constantly moving front 3 swapping positions all the time with preferably Higuain up front

With the amount of games we may be playing next season both Townsend and Lennon will makes us very strong to play in our secondary competition

Great performance. Shame about the result.

I can't wait for him to come back now. If he starts performing like this in a Spurs shirt, he'll quickly become a fans favourite. Seems like an earnest young man, loads of potential, and he's a Spurs fan, what more can we want?

from a qpr forum -

Townsend is England material, massive player and far too underrated
and certainly too good for a clueless club like QPR. I'm sure those @
Tottenham realise this

TOWNSEND IS A TOTAL HOTTIE BABELICIOUS AWESOME WONDER!
He will break my heart if he leaves. Simple.

Dear me, I do love that Townsend.

Townsend is terrific! We should be so lucky as to keep him and Remy. They could well be the difference in coming up straight away or not.

Townsend really is terrific. He is just my type.

Guaranteed we will.
i'll admit that i haven't watched him/kept tabs on him much during his stint at QPR, but from i saw today he's got a lot to offer us. He could certainly make a run at the left wing position that's gone vacant since bale moved to the middle, and maybe even challenge lennon's starting spot. (Is that a little too far?) Worst case scenario we get an excellent cover for both wing positions.

Rose left back, andros Townsend left wing, bale in the middle. Ekotto as backup or starter, I think we have a great squad available next season

Townsend completed 13 dribbles out of 16 attempts. That is unreal.

Also had 2 interceptions and completed 4/5 tackles.

The kid is a good player who does it at both ends.

Townsend plays more on the right wing cutting in on his left foot. Kind of like Adam Johnson.

Yep, but he can play left wing equally well. In the youth/reserves whatever it was called then he was brilliant on the left! Either way it's a good cover for the left and right, or maybe even a start

From good ole 'arry:

And Redknapp said there is much more to come from the 21-year-old.

"He'll be a top player," Redknapp said. "He gets at people, he attacks you. (Arsenal) paid £10m for the left-back and he has ripped him apart.

"He is relentless. He just runs at you, runs at you, runs at you. He has been first-class.

"It's difficult for him back at Spurs. You've got (Aaron) Lennon and (Gareth) Bale there, so it will be hard for him to play regularly. He'll have his work cut out.

"But he'll be a good player for Spurs next year. He will go back there a better player.

"He has proved to himself what he can do. He has proved he can play in the Premier League."

And Redknapp believes the England under-21 international's versatility will make him an attractive option for any Premier League club next season.

"It is up to Tottenham. He will want to play," Redknapp added. "He is good enough to play somewhere. And he has proved he can do that.

"I've played him off the right, whereas they played him off the left all the time. I think the right suits him.

"He comes in off the right and can get shots in. I think it's a move that suits him."

Just the perfect Wing cover for Lennon we need. Should be a good competition next season.

Sigurdsson/ Falque on the left
Townsend/ Lennon on the right
Bale everywhere.
