Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has strongly advised Cristian Romero to rest up during the latter stages of this summer rather than playing for Argentina at the Olympic Games. Romero recently made himself available to Javier Mascherano, who will lead the Albiceleste's team to Paris.

Let him go. Olympic gold medal would be amazing next to world champion medal

Olympic football may not have a great history but getting an Olympic medal is pretty prestigious whatever sport.

Definitely wouldn't begrudge Romero and/or Gio wanting to go.

Eh. Honestly, let him go. It’s the Olympics. You don’t get that opportunity too often. Annoying that Conmebol starts WCQ the next window though as I’d have asked him to miss that in return but hey. I’m okay with it if he goes & it would be extremely hypocritical of me to not be given that I would kill to have Pulisic & Reyna available for both Copa & the Olympics.

More likely a deal that all their friendlies have to at our stadium...
