I'll only believe that we have a chance of getting him when I've read that Chelsea are trying to hijack the deal. That's how it works isn't it .

Martial has gone backwards at United. Rashford is the better player
I think currently it would be hard to argue against this.
I still think Martial has the bigger potential and skill, and I want him badly in our team, but I do think Rashford is very decent.

Maybe we're proving to Mourinho that we're not a threat to United, so that he green lights this move. Genius from us if you think about it, and impressive acting from the players to make us look like an upper mid table side...

Seriously though, at what point does this thread get locked, it's just never going to happen for so many reasons.

I was going to post something smartarsed but I've lost the will to think straight. The window shuts in less than 4 days and I'm not remotely convinced we're addressing our WF/ pacey forward issue in the time we have left. What a bag of excretion this is

Same emotional highs as every window!

If it meant Mourinho getting his players as in perisic then he might as they are negotiating and a 70 million package isn't that bad, hopefully levy could get most of the up front fee from wimmer, sissoko and Janssen
Yep. This ties in with some itk that said some moves will be dependent on the selling club getting a replacement in first. The Manchester Evening News quotes Marca saying Bale could move to Utd.

I was watching Bale the other night and he had a poor game. And the fans booed him during the game. If he did arrive at Utd they would surely sell Martial

Real currently have no pending incomings of the stature of Bale with Mbappe going to PSG, no way they sell Bale now no matter how good Asensio is, the president would get pelters.

The MEN quotes an article in Marca titled '5 days to sell Bale'. But I can't find the article on their English version of their website and they don't provide a link to it either. Maybe they made it up or got it from Facebook!

EDIT: I've found the story. It has been taken from a blog on Marca by a journalist called Roberto Palomar. It's just his opinion, not Marca's and certainly no quotes from Real Madrid!

The article reads: "He (Bale) is not only ineffective, he plays in another galaxy, he lives disconnected and it is not known for sure when you can count on him and when you can't. "There are times when it seems that Bale is going to start playing for the other side. "There are five days for Madrid to solve it. "To take advantage of the good press that Bale still has in the British Isles, to take advantage of the madness of a runaway (transfer) market."

That Palomar guy is not wrong. If Real were smart they would sell him for a big wad of, as the Germans say, 'stupid English money'. The could conceivably make a profit on the circa 90M Daniel extracted from them.

Goons trying to get Martial for Sanchez if he goes to Utd, if we are still in on this looks very complicated!
