If they won’t let us sign Martial then I wouldn’t be willing to deal with them over Toby.

Same as Man City last year, wouldn’t deal with us over Sancho yet happy to take Walker off us.

I'm quite pleased with that tbh, seems a right moody sulker to me & we've got a big happy family vibe at our Club.
I'm looking forward to see who we move onto so long as it's not another N'forthe loveof god type. I seem to recall you saying Palace are in the mire financially so maybe we'll be going strong on Wifred Zaha now & I think he'd be blinding here tbh
I don't think he's moody at all. I just think he's very professional and determined. Sort of get on with the job sort of bloke. He just has a bit of a screw face.

Kind of glad we have moved on going by what herc said.
He is a great player but not where we should be spending most of our budget, as imo he wouldn’t improve the first 11, and we have options in similar positions with Lamela back and Moura yet to settle in.
Spend it all (most of it) on a centre midfielder I say.

United might want to close this down but by the looks of it that is the last thing Martial wants so we shall see what occurs.

You have to imagine if Jose doesn't fancy him then he won't want him in the squad.

What if there are no CM targets we can sign in the £50-60m budget. Should we slap it all down on player we could get for £35m later on?

I get people think priority is a cm (which it is if we stick to a double pivot midfield) but solving a priority doesn't necessarily mean we have to spend the most money on it...

So Martial looks difficult,Palace demanding 70m for Zaha,Bale has less than 10% chance of happening...So Malcom looks like our only option left but don't know if we're even in for him.

If the fee for Martial is 70-80 mil there are plenty of cm options we could get instead I think.
But you’re right we don’t necessarily need to spend that kind of money on a cm, but better spent there on improving the starting 11 I think than on martial who doesn’t improve the first team.

Concentrate on Zaha or someone else. We will get jerked around til the end of the window, they’ll force a Toby move at the end and we’ll get Frazier Campbell’s corpse back on loan. Fuck em.

Someone; not from SC btw; just text to ask me rumours are we can get him for just over 50 million. We believed this and were speaking to his people, and him, plus more-very actively. Yanited came out and said he is ‘not for sale’.

I wonder what would happen if he officially puts in a Transfer request & notice? Now that would be interesting. But let’s not frustrate ourselves. If a player is desperate to get away, they would do such. But as I said, his club holds every card.

We explore other options.

If we can't get Martial we should be going all out for one of Malcom, Pulisic or Bailey.

Malcom is most definitely available and we could definitely get him if we act decisively.

Let's hope we explore & get on with it.

Martial is said to have something in his contract which says if he's sold for between 50 & 60M, MU keep the money, anything over 60M Monaco get 50% or so of the profit.

Maureen is a tosser but he has been proved right with Mkhtaryan who has done nothing at Arsenal.
He bought him , as he did Lindelof who has been another flop. That’s the advantage of being at a club like United..buy one doesn’t work so buy another one. I think he is on borrowed time if he doesn’t get a lot nearer the top this season. It usually takes up to three seasons for players to get sick of him. The difference in Rashford for England is ridiculous. Some of them have already had enough I think , incl Martial.

Rather nice to know Man U are frightened of us and despite their Mananger are reluctant to sell to us.

Why aren't we going for Malcolm???Hercules was confident of us getting him last January and he's only available for 40m.

Whilst I agree central midfield should be the main priority, Martial would improve our first eleven.

He scored 9 in 18 starts for Man U last year and this was in spite of Mourinho's poor management of him.
