All I got from that was Utd doesn't want to sell Martial to a Pl club.
I see ... All I got from it was a click bate article. I guess it's in the eye of the beholder.

Have to see what happens in the coming days etc.

Both paris utd and gff work together .This isn't the first time they've said something like this.
I told you I don't disagree there could be something in it, but that whole article is based off of nothing. I'll wait for something more concrete before I form a proper opinion. You seemed to have glossed over the most important words in that piece.

It's up there with the nonsense oracles themselves Don Balon ...

Personally I think there's more chance of us buying Bale than there is convincing Utd to sell us a player with huge potential who will greatly improve us and very likely mean we finish above them.

Sad, but entirely predictable. They will not sell to a domestic rival, but we ultimately will if they pony up enough cash.

And yes I know they are in a different financial league than us, but we are still rich enough not to sell to domestic rivals if we really make a stand.

I simply don’t buy the argument we have no choice.

This is what the Mirror say:

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is reportedly closing in on a move to Juventus.

The French star has struggled to convince Jose Mourinho of his worth at Old Trafford.

And is is believed to be discussing personal terms with the Serie A champions ahead of a summer switch.

According to reports in Italy, no fee has been agreed with United with the Premier League club are expected to hold out for £80million.

Martial missed out on a place in the France squad for this summer's World Cup to compound a disappointing season.

He saw his chances of establishing himself under Mourinho take a hit when Alexis Sanchez arrived from Arsenal in January.

Juve is never going to pay that amount. They always get players so cheap it's annoying, like Bayern. Meanwhile Crystal Palace are paying the same fee as their max.

Apart from Higuain who went for something like £75m (€or£ not sure)

Sadly the footballing world as we knew it is gone :(

Clubs need to adjust to the new world that clubs like citeh have created or fade away or be ultra clever
It's worrying to be honest as spending 40 50 mill on maybe's seems like madness but now seems par for the course :(

Unfortunately being ultra clever will not be enough to beat the likes of Man City. They will just continue spending and crush all other teams like they did in the season just finished.

They do a lot of good business, but even just in the past few years they’ve forked out £220M on 5 key players alone (Higuain, Dybala, Bernardeschi, Pjanic and Costa). They’re a lot more open to larger spending recently and like most transfers, it’s trending upwards all the time.

Ah, that's true. Forgot about that one, that was mental at the time.
What is mental is that they paid that for Higuain who was established in their league as probably the best striker. Where as Martial has massive potential but has essentially failed to break into Mourinho's starting 11 behind Lingard!

Obviously Mourinho is a massive twat and should be playing him more but the market has gone mental... I remember a while ago the journalist saying big fees were coming to an end and after that year it was all going to drop off.

Higuain was a one off due to the Pogba deal. Pjanic came in the same window for a very fair 32m Euro at the time. Dybala, Bernardeschi and Costa all 40m Euro. The latter had the insurance of an initial loan period.

No indication there that they will pay the £60m+ Utd are seemingly asking for.

Now if Utd are happy to take 50m Euro or less from abroad I can see this happening, but if we are willing to pay £60m+ or swap for Toby (who we will only sell for a similar price) will they still go for it? Possibly. I guess this is why Juve try and win the player over first, before the inevitable haggling and playing poor. They probably did the same with Douglas who I'm sure we were also talking to last summer.

If I were a betting man I'd still lean towards Juve, but by no means is it a given right now.

Sure, you can take our their highest transfer (a whopping £80M - double our record).

Then to even things out and put that into perspective, take out our record signing in Davidson.

Juventus are still left with 5 transfers which exceed what’s leftover as our highest transfer.

They are hardly the fugal club you originally made them out to be is all I’m getting at. They do great business, but they are by no means cheap.
