What are the chances we sign Martial and Utd sign Toby but both deals will be undisclosed.

Would much prefer those funds towards a CM as well, hard to complain about a player like Martial but not sure I totally understand what we're really trying to do.
It is not going to happen with the players have on the agenda. So may as well forget it. Miracles do happen.

kinda hoping this doesn't happen feels like it would be the second choice behind the prodigal son returning. i.e. this happening removes all hope of the other

Time we made a signing, time for Daniel to put up or shut up, a couple of players is all we need to really challenge and a quality attacker like Tony Martial fits the bill perfectly imo.

My belief is they would sell at circa 65m

I personally think he is worth it in this market. Especially when Palace want 75m for Zaha, and Leicester want 75m for Mahrez. Allegedly ofcourse.
I think they might have changed their stance after his agent's interview

People need to start getting a realistic view of this pretty quick.

65m will absolutely smash our record transfer for a player that can't get in the United team and probably won't get in ours either.

If we pay this we would be insane, potential yes, but Thierry Henry he is not.

I am a fan and would love him at Spurs but let's get real, City will not pay 75 for Mahrez and no one will pay anywhere near that for Zaha, so let's calm down and look for options.

Absolutely no way will Levy sanction spending 65 million on a player that 'probably wont get in ours (team) either'. That would just be bonkers spending so much on a player that wouldn't be a usual starter. Plus why would he want to swap the Man United bench for ours ?

Oh... yikes. Don't understand going budget on our by far biggest need at all.
I understand your concern but if they feel the player they want won't be expensive then they shift the money they have left towards improving elsewhere

Poch is very insistent on players he likes. When Son joined the jokingly said the first thing he asked him was why he didn't join him at Southampton. We have already tried getting Martial when he was at Monaco so Poch certainly believes he has what is needed to be a successful player. Price is going to be tricky, but I don't think it is going to be anything insane compared that what we have seen the last couple of transfer windows.

£60Mil - £70Mil for a young talented player with big potential that has EPL experience and would be joining from a EPL rival seems rather fair.

The comments that he won't get in our first 11 are laughable. There is this thing called competition for places, oh and another called development.

Poch has been able to develop a player or two and that is exactly what we would expect him to do with martial, and turn him into a world class player.

Personally this signing excites me as it feels like an ingredient we have missed over the last few years; a genuine speedy wf/cf . I love Son but I dont think he is good enough c.f. cover.

Interesting if Utd do indeed seem to be warming. Seems logical now even the papers are saying they are likely to sell. Atleti seem out as a potential option, Juve probably priced out, PSG still with FFP to clear leaving Bayern as the only alternative and that would smash their transfer record considerably.

If he is indeed Poch's target to complete the attack then time to pay up at £65-70m.

I personally think our first XI is at the point where we either have to spend £70m on players who might spend time on the bench or £150m on guaranteed starters. Look at the prices quoted for some of our team....Kane, Ali etc.

I've seen a few people say Malcolm has got some serious attitude problems, so I doubt we'll want him. That probably explains why nobody else seems to want him either.
Please, where did you get or hear Malcolm’s attitude problem from?
