I think it's just a habit from talking to my mates tbh but it really isn't a big deal. Although there will definitely be times where I do think people are coming out with nonsense and I will respond accordingly.

Dont get me wrong, never thought it was on purpose or anything, it's just something i've noticed cos obviously you post on here a lot and on occasion it's bothered me. No hard feelings or anything.

So what you are saying is that you would still suck him off?

So would everyone be happy if we signed martial and then utd used that money to help them buy bale?
I would be happier than if we didn't buy him and United sold him to someone else and used their money to help them buy Bale, in that case we don't even get the player we want and another rival gets him and strengthens them.

Could see this happening for something like £60m plus £10-15m in add-ons. Really hope this signing comes off.

To play devil's advocate:

1 - How many seasons does he have left with his skillset (which is Giggs-like, but I don't think RG had the injuries Bale has had)
2 - Would his personality 'fit' the team well enough?
3 - How many games per season could he manage?
4 - Does Bale have enough in his skillset to adapt to a loss of pace, should he get to that point in his fitness?

What if it's all about next season only ? who do you think will have a bigger impact immediately ?

I'd actually rather we went for martial over bale. Yup I'll get slaughtered for it, but I don't really care
Absolutely. Bale is an emotional signing but Martial has much more potential as a player and more importantly longevity because of his age and the fact that he's not had any proper injuries that I'm aware of.

If this is at all linked to us letting them buy alderweireld, then nothing is going to happen until Belgium are out the World Cup.

Martial has much more potential than Bale? Are you serious? He'll be lucky if he even gets close to the level Bale has achieved.

I don't even know tbh. Too many ifs and buts on that. Would Bale stay fit? Would he rather shoot then set up Kane etc

Why are you comparing Bale to Giggs? They are both Welsh and Giggs was Bale’s idol - but they have/had very different skill sets and styles of play.

Bale has never ever reminded me of Giggs, I think that’s a really odd comparison.

Looks like he will remain at Utd

while life is not this simple: if we value Toby at 70? (was that correct?) we could afford the difference. given recent history of Sanchez v Mikkytearyanne (sp) it's not a completely useless thought.

Would also note valuations are to scare people off, usually you can negotiate a bit lower...?

And finally they can't value him that high, as I believe Monaco get x% of the fee

"really odd". Really hyperbolic.

They are both wingers whose main attribute was/is pace/dribbling.
