If HG an issue, we should had unloaded last year. Really don’t understand why we don’t just dump Janssen last yr

We clearly didn't want him since he went out on loan. Most likely nobody was willing to pay an appropriate transfer fee or, more problematically, the kind of wages he'll be on at Spurs. He's probably on £40k per week or so which is wayyyy more than any Dutch club for instance can afford to pay, but he's only proven at that level and is proven not good enough in a top league.

Really tho, who needs Martial. most important thing is we have Gazzaniga for that one game he might play this season when Lloris and Vorm are injured.

This could be Levy playing some mind games. For example if its Toby + 20-30m to get Martial he suddenly have no place for him. United desperate for Toby and Levy trying to get the fee lowerd.

This is only a very uneducated guess but im trying to stay positive here.

Perhaps Levy has an upgrade on Martial up his sleeve in that position? Bale? Zaha? Sessengnon?

I suppose we will have to wait and see!

I can't believe there's another (likely) non-HG player that's taking precedence over Martial unless it's a bona-fide international class player that's walking straight into the first team.

That being said, from the rhetoric we've had to date I'm also sceptical that United are now basically forcing us to take Martial to secure Alderweireld....

Without the three points Gazzaniga helped us to get, we'd have finished behind Liverpool.

Anyway, for all we are yet to know, Poch might have Gaz as the PL backup, and Vorm as the CL backup, and Vorm as the Cup GK. We can't naturally assume that he will want to register all three for the league.

The only way i can make sense of saying no to Martial and just taking cash for Toby is if we have Zaha (HG) agreed and use the non-HG slot that Martial would have taken on a beast CM.

But i think the odds of that being correct are slim to none.

It’ll be a CM which is an area we desperately need to strengthen.

This is one of the most confusing and disorganized window other than the Belerinho saga. Absolutely self inflicted and imploding right in front of Poch.

I'm guessing Zaha is the home grown alternative.

For some reason, I'd prefer Zaha. I accept that Martial is probably the more talented player but I think Zaha brings a lot more in terms of attitude and application. I think he would be a more positive personality in the dressing room.

Ajax just resigned Daley Blind for £18m I doubt £40k wages a more a problem.

The non HG issue as an excuse is complete nonsense. So if we don't find buyers for those players they'll be registered and offer absolutely nothing the whole season. No chance there isn't a single club on the planet we couldn't loan them to. Llorente would have to know his place and only be registered for PL. Register a youth GK instead of Gazzaniga in CL. There's a load of ways around it, this HG excuse is just this years fax machine issue.
