Any ideas on a return for the Welsh wizard? As well as being probably our best player this season I feel he is crucial for the balance of the team. The sooner he gets back the better

On a few sites the stories have ranged from three weeks/a month and some are putting forward that it's more serious than first believed and could be between three and six monthsEek

I really hope its crap and just the first one!

The main worry with GB is he seems to be a tad injury prone,
Maybe we have a left back curse?.

He was walking around the lane an hour before KO on crutches and wearing a big ski boot thing, didn't look good.

Oh dear! He's already wearing King's hand-me-downs!

On Phil Cornwell's excellent podcast they were saying one month out. But they are not doctors.

Sadly I think the opposition know he is our star man, that he has a weak spot, and they 'professionally' take advantage of it to remove his threat from games. I think he should play a while at left wing when he returns to minimize the number of tackles he has to make until that ankle is strong enough to take it.

There is a reason youngsters should be used sensibly and not thrown in at the deep end, it is because they are not fully matured, Gareth Bale is still a boy and has three more years of growing up to do before he even starts building the muscle to reach his peak, this means that when lumping great defenders like Muamba pile into you at full speed you are liable to get injured when you are only just 18.
It does not mean you are injury prone.

Bale's not injury prone. He only just came back from an ankle/foot injury and was unfortunate enough to take a knock on the same place, which is bound to be weaker as he's just come back from it.

True. Actually heard from a physio at Rosenborg that breaking a bone at that age might actually do got, as it grows out stronger or something...
