Nice one RSS.

(By the way I got my worst score of 6/10 today so brings my average back to 7)

However, great though RSS's play was I reckon we should keep the same cast as the original team. But in a twist they just have to play the current Chelsea side in the 'Bridge over the River Stamford PoW camp'. They have all the characteristics of the biggest, bestest, unbeatable, cheating, whining bastard Germans.

Although suppose Bobby Moore will struggle to make the fixture. How about Ledders in his place, forming an awesome central defensive partnership with err...Michael Caine.

Also starring:
Rob Styles as err...Himself

I'm with you today, Fordy. BOF hits the quiz for SIX, which would sound a lot better if 10 wasn't the maximum score.

SpursBloke, you certainly are well up on your footy trivia. I'd agree that it was harder than yesterday. Luckily I got the Bill Nick question right - but didn't know where Crooks started his career. I thought he WENT to Stoke from us, not started there.

For latecomers, we're having fun doing the Guardian footy quiz.

BOF, Just when I thought you couldnt become any more of a legend...

Thats classic. Did you use to be a local radio DJ?

"Coming up we'll be talking to Graham Stalk the manager of Wyevale Garden Centre, but now...Paul Simon with 'You can call me Al'"

Bill, if I can work out how to do it, that statement is going to become my sig RIGHT NOW!

To answer your questions, never had the pleasure to spin the platters that matter. I did used to listen to Steve Wright In The Afternoon when one of the characters was the rubbish hospital DJ, so maybe I picked up some tips from him :D .

I'll be right back after this message.....

Fordy, with you AGAIN today. Thought I'd done badly but lucked out with 7 today. Missed out on the Go Ahead Eagles, the Scottish World Cup 'hero' and The Cloughs' England goals.

Hey pop pickers -we're back! Be sure to look out for a killer thread featuring a Rodney Marsh interview - coming soon on this Forum!

ok now its bugging me, 5 again

Too much temp totty time, ever  . They were tricky today, old stuff and not much that was included in other stories on the site which is what they normally do.

The "Elton John's uncle" question must be one of the best-known pieces of footy trivia of all time.

Another top effort, SpursBloke. I got 1, 8 and 9 wrong so maybe we should team up?

Good weekends all, here's to three points on Saturday and see you back here on Monday.

Oh, for the love of God.

I got 8 and both the ones I got wrong I changed and my original answers were right (McCoist and 'Everton').

Now I know what its like for Villa, Charlton and Utd fans...so near and yet...

Better than me, Bill. I got 6, after deciding McCoist must have played for Everton. Got the 'Everton', Flat Back Four and Euro Player ones wrong too. Oh, the shame of it. I just know that young whippersnapper SpursBloke will show up with a 9 or better.

Right. Off to post a thread in Spurs Chat about Pleat's brilliant analysis of BMJ's use of Edgar Davids. But today's special offer is that readers of this thread can find it here!
