I love going to the games and will keep going regardless of whether we win, lose or draw.

No I haven’t considered it. I’ve gone since I was a kid. Every home game and most away games.
It does cost and it does put a strain on other things at times, as I organise my life around Spurs fixtures. Is it good? Is it healthy? I don’t know but it’s like a drug for me. I’m going until my body gives up on me. COYS

I'm a ST holder as well and have been this year at Wembley. I think often it depends on the game. Against Liverpool and Arsenal for instance it was rocking, but I fear there is a snobbery among some fans that the "lesser" games aren't really worth the effort to sing and have a good time, so the whole thing starts to feel like a manufactured and laboured experience. I must admit it started to get to me to the extent that I have put some of the lesser games on the ticket excahnge, along with yesterday's game (because of the time and because I never thought we'd win and figured a fan who'd be more up for getting behind the team was more deserving of my seat).

Are you including yourself as one of these snobs then?

Used to have a ST in the east lower 20 years ago, then got a job working crazy shifts which forced me to relinquish it. I understand the expense issue but surely you knew what the gag was prior to making you’re payment?. I actually can afford a ST but am still working those crazy shifts!!! Would love to go to a game but a. Can’t gets ticket & b. If I do it has to coincide with a rest day!!! Dunno what I’m trying to point out here. (Feel like I just walked into a room & forgot what I wanted)!! RANT OVER

This season its been a real pain in the arse because of Wembley, next year ill be back up for it. Pain in the arse to get to pain in the arse to get away from but needed to happen to get the new ground.

The only thing im not looking forward to is becoming another tourist club.

I fall into the same camp as a lot of others - simply can't justify the spend anymore. It's become almost a holiday event - saving up to afford the ticket (knowing that i'm almost certainly limited to the cheap seats for a Cat C game that hasn't sold out), putting a few quid aside for drinks and travel, etc.

I still have memories of deciding the day before and rolling up with a couple of quid spare for a pint before and a bovril after with my nan. Now i have to pick the game weeks in advance and spend the in between time hoping my cashflow and available tickets sync up.

Compare that to someone like myself that would love a season ticket but living in Ireland makes it impossible unless you share a ticket and tbh you end up fighting over who sees what game, then there is having to get flights which is an extra layer of nonsense.

In 2015/16 I lived in Cambridge and got to WHL a few times because I could and it was an easy journey.

So think yourself lucky you have the option to see our club week in week out.

Also, waiting for announcement of televised games before booking flights by which time the travel costs have soared.

Good point. Who wants to buy tickets 1-2 months in advance?

Nothing beats going to see the game live. I can't afford to get a season ticket though let alone the cost of travel for each game. I tend to go to a game every other month which is a bit more manageable. If you can afford it though I think you're mad not to want to go see this great team. Sure in the past I could understand but when we're playing so well and in such a good place it's a great time to be a season ticket holder. Even better next season in the best stadium in England.

Yep. Too expensive. Dwindling atmosphere, although having said that (atmosphere) I'll reserve judgement until we play in the new gaff.

I earn a fair wage and last years season tickets I could swallow. This year I have renewed for obvious reasons. I agree that you could swallow the price of the tickets if everything else wasn’t so fucking expensive. I take my son so that means programme. Sweets. Drinks. Burgers etc. Plus a few beers and travel. Makes it 19 expensive days out.

Interesting that this thread came up today in reference to the discussion on pricing. For the Copenhagen Derby today between Brøndby and FC Copenhagen one nice ordinary fan offered to pay for a couple of tickets for kids whose family couldn't afford to go. It ended up ballooning with other fans chipping in as well. They ended up buying 64 tickets for less well off families.... Obviously not a huge number but a nice move and something that shows the solidarity between supporters.

I love watching Spurs live, nothing beats it.

Like many of you I can't afford to go as often as I used to, and in recent years I've turned to non-league as well. It's nothing like the enjoyment of watching Tottenham, but I do enjoy being able to go every home game.

It is a shame we get priced out but football at the top level has gone out of reach, and it's never coming back.

Not telling you how to be a dad or anything but taking your son doesn’t necessarily mean that. I remember when my dad used to take me and I can tell you now, I daren’t ask for any of those things as I knew what the answer would be. That’s Modern day children for you I suppose.

My son wouldn't care about the sweets and burgers... He'd want a few beers.
