Anyone see Kaboul take a pic of the fans?

Pretty funny. He tumbled into a photographer, picked up the camera and took a snap of the fans.

Looks like the win did a lot for morale. I even saw Berbs and Ramos smile at one point.

Kaboul is a great player, and even though he has had a few shaky displays in defence, he will become a great player for us. It is also impressive to see how dangerous he actually is in front of goal. He has not played that many games for us yet, but he has actually scored a couple and also had quite a few chances aswell.

Yeah saw it on MoTD made me laugh

erm anyone with a good eye (or 2 even) can see Kaboul is a horrible horrible defender, he is great on the ball and could do a job as a makeshift CM but as a CB his positioning and all around game is too error filled and lazy.

i said centre back, not footballer so :shake:

Kaboul is far from horrible, he's got good technical ability and can pick a pass, what he misses is some positional awareness, but guess what, he's young and raw and this will come from experience.

You need glasses.

Daws and Kaboul need to forge a good understanding.
Only one of them needs to be the 'lead' defender, whilst the other covers.

The vast majority of the time, both players end up going for the same ball, not just because of a lack of communication, but because neither of them are great readers of the game.

Bit difficult to explain, but when Ledders and Daws play together, Daws will try and cut out play knowing that Ledders will be able to recover any 'misjudgement'. But Kaboul and Daws dont have that kind of understanding. Like they're reading the same script, but also the same lines.........

i don't rate him at all. I've seen him make SO many basic mistakes and I just don't see him ever becoming much better than what he is now.

He's like 21 for fucks sake. Give him time and by age 26 he will be one of the best in the business. He has pace, an eye for goal, good in the air, a commanding presence, a good personality. He needs to work on a few things, sure, (Eg: Positioning), but with time I am confident he will be as good as Ledders.

I hate people criticising players like taarabt, boateng and Kaboul, because not only are they young, but they are only a couple of months into their first premiership season.

I wonder what Kaboul would be like like given a little more time to get used to the prem and an experienced and commanding partner. If I were to guess who would still be featuring in our defence in a couple of years time I would go for Kaboul over Dawson, sheerly becuase from what iv'e seen so far he has more footballing ability, and the raw talent that a great couch could help mould into a great player. I'm not writing off Dawson, as he has been very solid for us in the past, but he doesn't have some of the attributes that the really top defenders do.

You know I was watching the Wigan game and i was next to this bloke that never shut up moaning, we were 3 up at half time and apparantly Berba was off song, chimbo was making too many mistakes -and we were going to lsoe 4-3 is kaboul and daws did not improve!

What happens on the turnstiles? Are you force fed depressant tablets? Cheer up for F* sake.

Kaboul had his best game yet, he actually looked like a defender, he stayed back and watched his lines, Jenas was a work horse, Berba was supurb, hey I actually enjoyed watching for once.

Here is a thread I was going to start but will put in here instead - Berba will be gone or captain one of the two - by end of season?

He looks captain material to me, when did you ever see roy keane smile, when was any performance good enough for him? Did you see him slating the boys geeing them up?

Even by his own admission, he is a very quiet person. Not captain material at all IMO.

Personally, I think Jenas would be prime candidate. Reckon it might pick his own game too, as well as the fact he's done it before for the barcodes.
