[Update 215]Appy as Arry: Last Info
Date 24th August
Site COYS
Nothing really new, but this is the last I can give from my contact as people are getting very nervous around the club and he knows I post on forums. As before this is all in good faith and the guy is a Spurs man through and through. Most of this confirms other ITK already given

People at the club are clocking up a lot of Air miles and burning the midnight oil so much so that some key people may well miss tomorrows game!

Fabiano as close to be done as can be, he might not even play for Seville tonight and could be at the lane as early as tomorrow

Diarra and Parker are still definitely on the shopping list and this is the most exciting bit, (He knows I want a younger but proven goal scorer and told me to get excited.

Another striker is on the cards ( I was told while back two in two out) and this looks like it still might happen. Not even Defoe safe!, but the likely two out are Keane and Crouch.

Cuddicini and Naughton could be going to Middlesboro.

Keane wants Celtic or no one and a deal is trying to be worked out re wages etc.

O'Hara having an operation on his back and therefore we are having trouble getting rid of might wait until January to off load him and probably to Wet Sham.

Levy and co are working their bollocks off. Portugal and Spain are in the picture. Something fairly big still on the cards, but time might be against them. I have also found out that the Fabiano deal was not all Levy's fault very complicated and will post when things quieten down, but the company with shares on Fabiano were the ones upping the price.

[Update 23] Appy as Arry re: Lots of Info
Date 2nd Jan
Time 17:18pm
Site COYS
Just finished a long telephone call with my contact, probabaly the longest ever and lots of interesting stuff.

Firstly, the general stuff. Throughout the club, players, coaching staff and the Board there is genuine excitment and a belief we can win something and the big time is just around the corner. The Board are ready to put up the money for the right players to take us up to next step. The club were very happy Capello didn't get the Inter job. Harry pleased with CL draw with Milan he didn't want Valencia or Copenhagen! He thinks we will be too quick for a slow AC team.

The 25 man squad rule is a real issue though and any incoming will be dependant on players leaving an example of the problem in doing deals is the manageral changes at Newcastle and Blackburn, we were well on the way to off loading Keane and Bentley and possibly Woodgate before the changes. Keane still might happen to the Bar codes. I asked about the possibility of Carroll and in Hughton's words, " I would never be forgiven if I allowed him to be sold, he's going to be another Shearer. The only way he would be sold is if they got relegated or really silly money was offered"

As I reported a couple of weeks ago the Beckham deal is being wrapped up as I type and should be done in the next 48 hours. There was some debate about the benefits versus the inevitable circus, but Harry thinks it will be worth it. Personally I think this could back fire, but we will have to wait and see. Could become permanant in the summer!

Harry has a shopping list, but has to get rid of some either on loan or sold to make the numbers in the squad work.

Possible out goings

Keane, almost certain, the buyer just needs to offer resonable wages.
Bostock, Rose and Naughton could be sold rather than loaned out again.
Bentley Fair bit of interest, but keeps getting silly injuries, still should be gone in January.
Krancjar could go out on loan, but Harry worried his departure might upset the other Croats, Nico is well liked by the rest of the squad so might not go until the summer.
Crouch, two serious enquiries have been made one from EPL and one from abroad.
Caulker will stay out on loan and is seen as a future star same with Walker although Harry might pull him back in depending on the 25 issue.

Known Shopping list, but my contact was a bit reluctant and said there is a possible mega signing under the radar, if not this month then the summer!

Forwards; Barios, Llorente and Suarez, Harry is not happy with the onion bag count of our current crop of forwards and would be happy with one of these plus Defoe and either Crouch or Pav.

Midfield; Diarra Pieanar, or Parker are first pick, but also looking at a Russian and a french MF contact didn't know the names.

Defence; apart from Walker coming back Harry is happy with what he has got, but might move for a keeper in the summer.

One more thing Harry was really thrown with the vdV signing and has admitted he didn't know where he would play him, but thought for 8M why not?

Thats all folks Happy Transfer window and New Year

With all of the ITK and POTLs cryptic I put a call in and just got this back. Everyone a bit tight lipped at the club, which in his words "usually means we going for a biggy or very close". However he did get confirmation we are in for Suarez after Broomfields reports
Diarra is still first choice DM, but Muntari is now on the radar as back up. I asked if Suarez not considered a biggy who is? he said " Not a clue, but there is money and Levy is ready to spend"
Celebrate.gif

Still interest in Russian and French midfielders.

He also said Keanes move to Fulham could be on but Harry not happy if he plays in the cup. Still more loan outs to be done including Townsend.

Beckham is an insurance and length of loan thing, Harry wants 12-18 month deal, but secretly quite pleased at the moment because he is getting best of both worlds in that he is passing his knowledge, but doesn't take up a squad place.

"Here you go Nick, but it might not be great news for you! Our people are continuing their own little European tour with visits to Portugal and Germany"

[Update 90] Appy as Arry re:Suarez
Where: COYS
When: 17/1/11
Suarez not dead long live Suarez
It is still in the balance, but the fat lady certainly ain't singing yet ( A little bit of cryptic there for those that like doing crosswords).
Sorry Nick, not really cryptic just saying the Liverpool deal not done yet, seems they are offering players as part of the deal and Ajax want cash and we have some.

[Update 92] Appy as Arry re:Keane & Kranjcar
Where: COYS
When: 17/1/11
Things are bubbling in the window now apparently the Bar codes are interested in Keane and Nico and Villa are upping their bid for Adam, with the possibility of Heskey going to Sunderland. Just hope this moves things along for us on the incoming front.

Money has been put on the table and we have people out there now. Anyone fancy two south Americans? I understand we have four on the table and it may be a case of two out two in.
Any idea who?

The answer is I don't know that is all I was told, but one is certainly Suarez and I did report a few days ago that we were in Portugal and Spain

Not from my normal source, but a mate of mine has heard something in Italian press tomorrow re a Brazillian No idea , but thought I would share. On what Peanut has said, he is right that very unlikely anything done in next 48 hours, but we are talking on several fronts.

[Update 128] Appy as Arry re:Rossi
Where: COYS
When: 21/1/11
I can confirm Rossi bid and something perhaps bigger happening in next week

[Update 143] Appy as Arry RE Activity
date 24/01/11
site COYS
I have been told to expect a lot of activity, both in and outs by Thursday. Levy not a happy bunny re the OS shit from people like Coe and losing patience over our strikers perfomances (arn't we all?) He is very concerned that we might lose the Cash cow of the CL if we don't act. Things remain complicated and a lot depends on other clubs activities and in some case player choices, but we have our number ones and and some backups. I reconfirm we have had talks with Ajax and both Madrids and those are continuing and that Levy is ready to gamble more than Harry. My opinion, but if things don't happen this window and we fail to get CL then there could be a fall out between the two. Also my opinion , but I would rather Crouch go than Pav, but there is a market place and interest is higher for Pav than Crouch (suprise suprise)

[Update 172] Appy as Arry
date 28/01/11
site COYS
I am getting a bit lost on here with different threads around ITK now so some of this might agree/support or even contradict other info, but this is what I have been told. Just to recap my source is close to coaching staff and management, but not to the Board or inside the club although Spurs through and through and genuine.

He is saying we are still working on several deals, in and outs and still on something "mega", the indications are;

Woody to go out on short term perhaps a month loan to get match fitness and be ready for the business end of the season. King very unlikely to get a squad number.
O'Hara, trying to get out on loan, but would accept a reasonable bid.
Gio, expect to be gone by Monday night probably Italy bound, but we might hold him back to cement another deal.
Kranky unlikely to go now until summer, but Fulham interested in him and Keane.
Wet Ham are trying to shaft us over Keane so unlikely to do business with them now and options running out.

Pav will almost certainly go firm bids are in and he is deciding if and where he wants to go.
Beckham will go back to USA unless we can do a "proper" deal.

No real news on the striker front except we are still trying could run until Monday, but have tried to wrap up sooner, but others keep f****** it up.

The Moriniho story is interesting in that apparently discussions did take place with him when Joel and again when Ramos was on the way out and he does like us, my source says "he would see us as the right challenge.

PS Harry's comments re wages etc are bollocks as Levy has upped limits and talking to players such as Bale on improved contracts up to £100k pw, having said that the club has had problems with foreign players, because of our tax laws.

Summer Transfer Window 2011
[Update 21] Appy as Arry - Targets
When: 17/05/2011
Where: COYS
There is a real uneasiness at the club with the Board and Harry not seeing eye to eye over a number of things, the board especially p***** off with Harry blowing hot and cold and trying to be the media darling. Apparently true about Lennon possibly on the way out, with the player not forgiving Harry re comments at the Madrid game. Bassong requested a transfer, and Woodgate almost certain to be allowed to go where he wants and not get a "pay as you play deal". The club are out looking for incoming and had three lists CL qualification (now gone) Europa (with a few hopefuls, but not very realistic) and non europe. Two strikers are top of the list, one experienced and one younger, Osvaldo, Gameiro, Lukaku and Falcao top that list at the moment. N'zogbia also on the list if Wigan go down and Parker almost certain to come in with Wilson going out.

Beckham is on the cards again and Samba and Jones are Cb targets although Jones is very unlikely with known interest from Liverpool. Although Nico is wanted by a couple of Italian clubs don't be suprised if he ends up at Fulham. Getting rid of the likes of Keane, Bentley and Gio are a real problem. Those wanting a big early signing may have to be patient and wait for the dust to settle the Club need to decide if Harry is going to be around next season and he and Levy can resolve their differences, expect some coaching staff to leave anyway.

I can confim our interest, but others are interested. We began our interest when we were dealing with Sandro_Officials have been to Brazil for talks and if we can agree fee it is thought he is ours.

The reference to Harry and the Emirates relates to the Brazil v Scotland game so comfirmation we have been looking for some time.

[Update 84]Appy as Arry - Update
When: 05/06/11
Where: COYS
Just had a chat with my contact, he is on the way to the airport so this will be it from me for a few weeks.

First the good news is that he is certain Modric and Bale will be with us for at least another season, When I asked him if a any amount would change things he said perhaps £50M+, but even then he doubts Levy would deal and certainly not with another Pl club.
Leandro offer has been increased and again he thinks it will be done before he gets back off holiday (15 days) not sure that he would be with us before August though! We have made a number of initial bids for strikers and he expects that we will get an experiencd one in, but might take some time because of Internationals , holidays and the Manager merry go round. Apparently we were fairly close to off loading a couple to Fulham before Hughes decided to go, but QPR still might take one or two.

Parker still looks likely, but Cole rumour has no legs we have not shown any interest. We are also looking at a couple of younger options at CB.

I asked about Harry to Chelsea and he laughed, but added although Harry and Levy resolved some issues in a meeting last week there are still tensions Interestlngly he said for the next couple of weeks only expect freebies or cheaper young talent that Levy feels will make a profit on if Harry does go, at least until court case has been done and dusted. He also said Friedel deal was done with one eye on a coaching role next season the club are still looking at other keepers just in case an offer for Gomes comes in, the club do not see Gomes as long term any more and he has only a year left on his contract.

Sorry I can't give names for target players, I don't think he knows, but the rest I believe to be sound info.
