Just had some itk.

A plumber just came round to fix some pipes of mine. As he was leaving he asked had I heard about the fire ( I'm wearing my spurs hoody ) and I said of course. He said his best mate lives next door to one of the brothers and knows they were up to their eyeballs in debt.

The plumber isn't a spurs fan or even a football fan but knows from his mate and his old man who used to be in the Catering business that archway has been losing money for years.

When I mentioned the CPO was ours in two months anyway he was amazed then laughed. No accusations of course but I think a crazed spurs fan may be responsible for this. Just not a crazed spurs fan with the stadium as his m.o.

Case closed then :pompous:

Which ties up with the report that the Josifs said that they'd been firebombed.

I thought Josif Josif said yesterday that 2 petrol cans had been found INSIDE the building?

So whoever did it must have surely broken into the building (or had a key) and emptied the petrol cans on the first floor and set alight

What have you got on me? Don't tell nobody.
The old "if you've done nothing wrong..etc " argument. I want the government and any other organisation to have the least information. They collect info about being a possible terrorist and then nick people for no MOT.
Something very similar happened to me in Tottenham itself, I got nicked for two wheels over the ziz zag line on a crossing by a street crime camera, I paid by return as I was in the wrong but I can't believe that's the type of street crime they were installed for. Hardly armed robbery or a drugs deal going down.

Im not in property insurance, just health. So i cant comment on the investigation practices. But what i do know is the obvious. The josifs are now going to get a huge wad of cash from Spurs AND the insurance company. "Retirement, here we come!" - Josif family.

Could be they got lucky, but guaranteed this will be investigated thoroughly by both the cops and the insurance company. If they tried making there own luck, their shit outta luck.

1, why Spurs?
2a, If they don't have arson insurance then they're shit out of luck.
2b, If they do, and it's them, then they shit out of luck too

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

I'm surprise they were able to identify specifically that two petrol cans were found after such an intense blaze.. Must have been fireproof.. I smell bullshit.

Or maybe the cans were inside the Archway compound, opposed to inside the actual building?

If I was going to burn my own building down, and didn't have to clamber over fences etc, I'd do the ground the floor so the whole place would go up.

The fire started on the first floor. Precise location of cans is unconfirmed. The only thing your smelling are the colonel's onions.

Wasn't the 'report that the Josifs said they'd been firebombed' a witness who described Josif as 'running around hysterically shouting they'd been petrol bombed'? Sounds a bit less official that way.

There's no way they could possibly know what's happened anyway, and nor could we, there's only speculation, so there's no point us trying to tie things together. That's what the investigators will do.

Why Spurs? CPO.

If the business has claimed on insurance for the value of say, the building and a % loss of earnings, then surely the CPO would now only really cover the land? It's not like they would be getting double payout now.

So spokesman for the josifs declare they have found a couple of suspicious petrol cans (spurs branded probably), and just recently they retweeted a threat specifically about burning down there lot from a Spurs fan. . And now Josif Josif has been spotted running shouting we have been firebombed in the immediate aftermath of their fort knoxed factory mysteriously burning down. Just as the CPO thingy coming to a conclusion not looking like it was going to end in a favourable decision for them

How unlucky can they be? its one thing after another

or all very convenient

One word springs to mind here

Karma

Ive got to be honest, I respect that the Josifs have a business to run and protect but to take this as far as they have, holding up the regeneration of an area they know is in desperate need of a cash injections is purely selfish.

Spurs and Haringey Council must have put packages together way above and beyond the acceptable, or else we would be fighting CPO's with all the other previous land owners.

Greed has bred a monster, and in this instance, Its the little guy, not the big corporate machine!

Insurance job just seems particularly strange to me.

Insurance bods, please feel free to correct me, but say Spurs won the CPO hearing and therefore Archways were set to receive fair value + 15% odd for the land/relocation expenses of their business.

Then lets say they move to Enfield and get set up. If they're as successful a business as being suggested, they could then sell their business for greater than the fair value of their building + contents, no?

By burning the place to the ground, they have simply sold the business for the insurance sum and will only get fair value of the land plus markup from Spurs. All the while losing business in the interim due to not having a facility. So they're actually out of pocket by the difference between net asset value + goodwill + interim sales of the business and the insurance sum.
