The main problem, with our 'darlings', seems to be that they can't communicate at all. It is not a language problem, more a personality battle. There seems to be a marked deterioration in off ball chatting or calling. Cliques have appeared (comming from he who has not been to WHL this season!) and it is the job of the manager to 'sort' it out OR die trying (he he) (My money is on the dying lol).
When all is said and done we are missing a 'quality', World Class, mid fielder (a-la-Roy Keane) who will take no prisoners but who will INSIST on DO or DIE...but who will 'play by the rules' and be a positive influence on the whole team.....
And for my second gift, Santa Claus, I would like a bike COYS!
......OR Nooo, A bike with a Blonde on the saddle COYS!

Of course there is a limit to how much you can coach a player, but some managers are better at getting the best out of their players, or just getting the best out of certain type of players.

True JR, however there is a misconception that 'intelligence' and 'personality' are in some way redeemable. Baring a blow to the frontal lobe with a piece of 4x2 they have what they have. Which is why the revisionist/optimists will never see a Red Setter/Afghan Hound become a Border Collie, or a Rottweiller(JJ anyone?).
