Why? Then this thread just becomes another bickerfest.
Yeah you're probably right, I could understand if he'd said 'there are times when he's pissed me off'...but it was the terminology that intrigued me more than anything, ''absolutely sickened'?...maybe it was just hyperbole.

Blimey if that's you on the fence then I'd hate to see you once you've made a decision!

I'm a fan of Tottenham, not of Levy, but the club is in a much better place now than it was when he took over, and it's very much moving in the right direction at the moment.

I don't think many of us dreamed we'd be competing for the title or even having a new stadium back when he took over, and to be fair there were quite a few years where we continued to be flat out mediocre as Levy made mistake after mistake with players, managers, DOFs and god knows what else.

But in the last 5 years we've seen steady improvement and finally seen the stadium come to fruition. To me that's the sign of a successful chairman so I think that makes me BSoDL.

Not a BSoDL and he can be very frustrating and I enjoy moaning about it when he tits stuff up but I wouldn't necessarily want anyone else in charge at the moment. Does that make sense? Or does that mean I'm a closeted BSoDL suppressing my urges?

I thought it stood for Business School of Daniel Levy

Either way I dont think he is reacting well to the inflated market, as I think he needs to accept this is the new market and prices.

I also think he isnt as good as he was 10 years ago, for example he got £8m for Mido and £8.2m for Zokora, those are like £20m+ fees in todays market

I think we'll need to wait for a month or so to see if that's right, and everything around the stadium needs to be taken into account as well, but I do suspect you might be right that he won't find it easy to accept what is effectively the doubling of transfer fees in the last two years.

And once the stadium is built, he's going to have a much harder time justifying why we're spending less than the other big teams.

The irony is the doubling of transfer fees started with Sissoko imo

As for the stadium, its unknown how it will be financed but in a seasons time we may be feed the line, we need to pay it off

Also the players will see us with more revenue and expect higher wages

The fact of the matter is that if we want to consistently sit at the top table, we need the types of players who are likely to expect higher wages regardless of our revenue (both current players and those we want to bring in) so we'll need to plan for that.

In terms of stadium financing, Levy has said various times that it's separate from the money for the playing squad, so whilst I don't think that's entirely true, it won't look that great if he starts to use that spiel.
