Have the gooners really banned national flags? Can someone confirm that, and if so, they really are a bunch of pc gone mad idiots, love it though.

Yes it's true, a Turkish Cypriot used to hang his north Cyprus Arsenal flag and Greek Cypriot fans complained so rather than make a decision on that they just banned all flags even the Union Flag or flag of St George.

Strange thing is that I guess you can shout abusive terms like Yids at Spurs fans but unfurl an Israeli flag and you're out on your arse.

I wonder if this prevents them from holding international games any more?

That is what it is about. The Arsenal fans are suing Arsenal because of the way their own fans use the term 'yid'. They haven't mentioned anything about Spurs fans using it. They just want to stop Arsenal, Chelsea, Millwall and West Ham fans using it against Spurs (like the gas chamber song). These fans are saying that Arsenal should be throwing out anyone that starts directing chants towards Spurs fans that go on about the Holocaust, etc.

Very fucking righteous i`m sure.
Good luck to them because they have got the proverbial snow balls chance in hell of stopping it. As someone said earlier they would have to throw out quite a few people. I`m sure Wenger doesn`t like Spurs, Wham, Chels, Manu etc singing about his sexual activities and he`s in the stadium listening. Anyway just remember next time they sing it they`re probably all thinking next stop Poland.

This actually seems legit. There is no reason that people should be singing such vitriol. Good for them. It seems like some of them are trying to break away from such classlessness. I think the title is a little disingenuous and meant to get our collective panties in a wad, but we should actually applaud their effort. While the term Yid is something Spurs fans coopted, nazi songs are not something we want either.

Looks like the season ticket holders are after the same atmosphere that they got at the Library! May I suggest they approach the enviromental agency and report the club for noise pollution I reckon they will have a better chance!

I agree that references to gas chambers, etc. are in the poorest of taste.

PC taken too far? Sometimes it is, but there have to be some boundaries surely. The term Yiddo has never upset me in the slightest as a Spurs supporter but if someone stopped me in the street and used the term in a derogatory and prejudiced way, I wouldn't find that acceptable.

It's how a word is used that's relevant, not the word itself.
