I am 100% certain if that was spurs last night in Arsenals position waiting on Everton to drop points then Everton would not only of beaten Palace with ease but gone onto win the remainder of their games to pip us to 4th.

Why do those bastards get the luck of the draw every single time? Don't get me wrong we have been shocking this season and don't deserve 4th but Arsenal have also been pretty abysmal and once again teams throw them a life line ( Everton yesterday and us countless times)

Will the luck of Arsenal ever run out? When are spurs ever going to get that sort of luck or break? Or is just the fact that Arsenals winning mentality are so superior to our weak losers mentality? Arguments could be made both ways but there's no denying Arsenal are such a bunch of lucky wankers!!!!!

The race for 4th isn't over yet, yes Everton royally messed up last night but I wouldn't mind betting that Everton will be back above the scum on Sunday night. Hull will be well up for it and dare I say may want to rough a few players up in readiness for the final whereas Everton can put things right against their old boss, they then have to play soton away and man city where normally these would be tough games but soton literally have nothing left to play for and man city after last night are now in the same boat. Optimistic yes but game over far from it.

Wasn't an Everton loss last night good for us too?

Agree, you make your own luck. I remember Roy Keane making a comment about Spurs not too long ago. Something along the lines of 'there is a weakness running through the club'. Couldn't agree more.

How are they lucky? If they get more points than Everton at the end of the season, they will deserve it.

They are lucky because despite being shit this season ( which they have) other teams hand them a lifeline every time. We did it in our famous collapse season and yes it was our fault but how can anyone here say Arsenal are not lucky? Everton smashed them last week and suddenly implode against palace putting it in Arsenals favour again. We barely get that sort of luck.

Is their points total notably lower? Genuine question.

Were they shit throughout the autumn winter when Ramsey and Fish Face were in great form? Less genuine question.

We beat them last season too, and then lost points to the likes of Fulham and Wigan. It's about consistency.

Sorry but no one is going to try and convince me that Arsenal are not lucky. Every season they scrape 4th by the skin of their teeth (in recent times) so it's not exactly like they are finishing miles ahead of the others below like the top 3 do. We all know the outcome and that's the other team fighting with them for 4th will implode. Westbrom game they had to win few years back to get 4th which produced one of the worse goal keeping displays in prem history from that silly **** Fulop!!! Not to mention us getting the shits against westham giving them 4th that other season. They are a lucky club and we are not, that's the truth.

I know quite a few gooners, and none of them think they're lucky at all. Numerous final defeats (including their late capitulation against Barca), and no trophies for years (though that's probably about to change).

Yes they tend to qualify for CL due to a combination of consistency and fortunate results, but their fans don't generally seem to look at CL as an achievement - more a minimum requirement. It's only because we value breaking into the top 4 so highly that we see it as a massive success for other clubs.

Nope, not Arsenal luck, Tottenham fuck up not for the first time, if we had applied ourselves properly we would have been ahead of Arsenal and we wouldn't have been talking about this luck.

Don't get me wrong I think we are a bunch of bottle jobs that shoot ourselves in the foot season after season. It's actually getting boring now of how predictable spurs are but no one can sit here and say Arsenal are not a very fortunate club sorry.

arsenal are no more lucky or unlucky than anyone else, we just notice them a bit more than the others. they are not lucky to keep getting 4th, they are not lucky that we mess up our chances, they have consistantly been in the top 4.

conversely, to miss out on CL football when finishing 4th IS lunlucky, to possibly sneak in when finishing 5th...now that would be lucky!

I dont call Fulop throwing 3 in his own net to secure Arsenals CL quailfication two seasons ago luck, I call it highly suspiscious.

I dont call the end of last seasons winning streak to pip us at the final hurdle luck. I call it unbelievable. Unbelievable in a highly suspicious way . Anyone remember the non existent penalty given by a linesman stood 100 yards away ?

I dont call half our team throwing up at West ham luck either. Just bad luck you may say. Again, I call it highly suspect given the circumstances.

The list goes on and on, but if anyone has any doubt, I urge you to take another look at Fulops performance on the last day in 2012. The fact he even played at all was suspiscious. How this performance and subsequent result was never investigated is beyond me.

I think OP fails to mention that they were first for half of the season. They were on fire, playing excellent football with a solid centre back pairing.

If anything they were unlucky that Ramsey and Walcott found themselves injured for a while and stunted their attack. They've played shite since but have pretty much averaged themselves out to be 4th.

They remind me of Southampton all those years ago when they would constantly flirt with relegation, eventually they will get pipped to 4th as I dont see them any higher

I can agree that it's a bit lucky. They have have been 4th before the last games - needing to win, and they have been 5th, needing others to lose... Everytime it has gone in their favour...

And one could call it luck, or consistency, mentality, etc... Point is they could easily been 5th up to 5-6 times and it never happened...
