Look how sharp Bent reacted for his goal. I know he offers little in terms of team play but this is the premiership where pace and power is important. Bent can stretch defenders in a way that Pav can't.

Game of the season so far. I was happy with the performance at 4-2 really. I felt with the season the way it's gone so far I wasn't expecting a good performance, I was expecting damage limitation.
At 4-2 we looked like we knew the game was up and they knew we were beaten but then, hang on, did we just have a Gerrard-esq 'grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck' run and goal from our captain? I believe we just bloody did!!!

Oh my god, what an end result. I was furious at 86 minutes and jubilant at 93.
That felt better than the Cup win, honestly.
Negatives were Gomes and I have to say Jenas gave away the ball an awful lot tonight, despite his goal. Midfield still needs pace and strength.
Positives, Bentley is a proper yid. Team confidence has got to be high, where as at 4-2 down confidence would have been fatal for saturday.

the post mortem about the performance can wait a couple of days......cos there are some big issues. But fantastic result and immense character shown.
Have to say, cos I give him a lot of stick ( all justified), a brilliant goal by Jenas.
Whilst not a win from a kick starting the season perspective the result and the mannner in which it was achieved is huge.
WHL will be rocking now on Saturday.
Not going to mention Gomes, Hutton, Pavlova or the perserverence with 451
