Very disappointing. I was hoping the Chelsea game was going to be the beginning of an upturn in performances, but it was more like the previous league games.

They were better tactically and technically. They pressed much better than us. They played a back three and diamond much better than we did. Only a couple can come out and say they played well for us.

Not only that, but they out fought us as well.

Cliche but the old bounce back etc is important now. Our next 12 league games incl. Utd at home aren’t too bad and we have to pick up a lot of points in this period if we want to get top 4 again.

I did warn everyone not to get too carried away by the Chelsea game going into this match. It was always the hardest game of the week.

It’s also quite worrying to think how far Arsenal could go, Uni is an excellent manger and did wonders at Sevilla, now he has proper financial backing he could take them above us more permenantly. Obviously this is only one game and some mismanagement, it doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. But we have looked poor almost all season and I’m struggling to see how Poch changes it without investment on qulity not just youth.

I don't think we've ever looked good playing a diamond. It's such a lopsided shape.

With the fullbacks we have it puts us at a significant disadvantage against teams who use width and have effective use of wings.
