I struggle to fathom the mentality of any "fan" who thinks beating arsenal 3-2 away is a massive letdown...!!! Ffs
Especialy after being 2-0 down. Lets give him the benefit of any doubt and assume his whole post was tongue in cheek

Amazing day yesterday. So happy to witness it, just unbelievable.

I just read this thread from kick off to final whistle and I'd just like to take this opportunity to say 'thank fuck Redknapp is our manager and not some of you lot'. Funny reading back and while we were rightly criticised in the first half, some of the players people were gagging to take off contributed muchly to our brilliant 2nd half performance.

Gallas and Kaboul aside, everyone was a bit rubbish 1st half but that's what half time's for, so the manager can tell them where they're going wrong and what to improve etc for the 2nd half. We shouldn't be so quick to demand everyone to be taken off if they've had a shit half. Lennon's substitution was tactical more than anything although he was poor and unfit. Modric, JJ, vdV all contributed to our win but the more impatient amongst us would've had them off at half time. They should remember what can happen if you give players time...

 +1

I'm ecstatic and gutted! Put 2.50 on us to win 3-2 using paddy power on my iPhone... Went to check the lovely 100quid that was gonna sit in me account... Nothing, there website hadn't registered the bet! Grrrr!!! Still I'm :grin::grin:

Sorry M*...that's why I always want that slip in my hand. Especially pertinent yesterday, where I had a tenner at 40-1 for 3-2:grin:

BAE looks stoned in that picture.

But what's Pav doing:shrug: He looks like he has been caught at a particularly intimate moment, and given his positioning...Eek Might help to explain BAE's expression, too:eek:mg:

He was brilliant actually. Especially when he got asked who he thought had more chance of winning the league out of Arsenal and Spurs. He just couldnt bring himself to say Tottenham!

Did anyone see Pav almost cry when he gave away a free kick. Wenger must have nicked his water bottle.

He's not scared to have ago at arsenal aswell. He needs to get back on Talksport. Very likable guy imo.

Missed the game so caught up when I got home. To be honest it was a massive let down! I was expecting us to be amazing to get three goals back but we weren't. Both teams were pretty awful, we were awful in defence and they were awful up front. Still I'd rather have a crap 2-3 than an exciting 4-4

Disappointed Harry took Pav off, I think he played well but didn't get much service. I think he would have scored if he'd been on the pitch when Bale made that run. Also I think Defoe has done more flick ons in that game than Crouch has ever done at Spurs, and Defoe's a midget! :bang: What next, Bale scoring a header from a corner....

I just realised that JJ was playing. I honestly don't remember anything he did other than a couple of slide tackles after he lost possession. Normal service is resumed.

For the love of God, Harry, put out some of the squad players against Werder so we can be fully rested for Liverpool. No point beating WB and then losing to Liverpool. Start Kranjcar. Start Sandro. Start Bassong. Have Bale on the Bench with Defoe and Pav. We could be 4th and 6 points clear of Liverpool if things go our way.

Rafa and Bale are going mental. I think Benny is thinking "These guys are nuts! ROFL!"

We were poor as a team first half, only really Gallas performed well. Jenas done well in the second half though, credit where its due.

We will be full strength for Bremen, why would we risk it when qualification isn't in the bag yet. Get the game won and than take a few off if needs be. A sentiment I am sure that Harry shares, given his 'its a massive game on Wednesday agaisnt Bremen' in the post match interview.

How in God's name was the game a let down...17 years.

thought i'd share some comments made by VDV on Voetbal International, biggest
online footy site in the Netherlands:

'it was a fantastic atmosphere in the dressing room after the game. I am as happy as a child that we've won. First half really was dramatic. At one point I was scared we were going to get beat 4 or 5-0. Our manager was furious at HT. I've seldom seen him that angry. But everything was different second half. I didn't spoke with Robin VP after the game, we were busy partying. But I'll definitely call him.'

A couple of stats from the Telegrapgh just to confirm how monumental the win was :

'That was not the worst of the statistics for Arsenal, who from having their noses in front of the leaders Chelsea at half-time, finished with egg on their face and Spurs on their tail. Not since the very first day of the Premier League 18 years ago had they been beaten after leading by two goals at the interval; not for 13 years had they lost two successive home games.'
