Oh what could have been with 11 on the pitch. Made them look average 11 v 11 and even for spells with 10.

We have looked genuinely good at times today - Ade obviosly screwed us over - but Sandro has been class, Defoe played fairly well and the back 4 did the best they could.

With 11, I reckon we could have taken it - WITHOUT half our first team! (Kaboul / BAE / Parker / Dembele) AVB's tactics were very good, brave and unlucky.

Gallas tried his best as usual (which is just not quite enough) Walker nearly played well (!) Lennon and Bale did not do enough tracking back (but never have) Lloris and Naughton were ok and Verts was quality (again).
Lots of positives and lots of hope given who we've got coming back soon.

5-2 .. i'm sorry whatever way you cook it that's awful. I'm not knee-jerking against any person in particular at spurs today, but that result should NOT be happening even with 10 men.

Today was the first game I have stopped watching prematurely on TV, I always keep the faith, but after Mertesacker scored the equaliser at 1-1 I started playing Black Ops to avoid the inevitable capitulation.

It was pretty bad when we lost 5-2 there last season as well. If anything that was worse, seeing as we went 2-0 up and weren't reduced to 10 until much later.

I think we have to take heart from the fact that we had the beating of them 11v11. Let' smash them at the Lane next year.

Grim game but there were a few positives..

The worst thing now is being without Ade for the next three games. :banghead:

Absolutely disgusting result, but I'm glad that we made a go of it second half. Credit to AVB for that. Lets hope that mentality sticks.

Genuinely do think we would have won had Adebayor not been such a fucking idiot. We're gonna be without him for the next 3 games as well now. *sigh*

So you've come to that conclusion after you stopped watching at 1-1.

Nice one

Players definitely let us down today, obviously Ade fucked up and the game was killed as a contest from then on.
Hopefully that's the last we see of gallas and hudd for a while, way too many mistakes from gallas and hudd once again brought nothing to the party.
Good calls by avb, starting line up and 2nd half changes were what I wanted to see. I still have faith in him.

Levy must back him in jan, not to would be criminal.

Credit the team for their effort. One act of stupidity killed the game as contest. Serious question marks remain for me with the Hudd/Sandro partnership in midfield, Gallas at the back and Dempsey wherever he is deployed. Carroll - whilst still being raw - at least was constantly looking for the ball. Hudd and Sandro go missing far too often when the back 4 (or 3) have the ball.

We were warned about Adebayor when buying him werent we. Better off out of this great club. Hes off to Africa in Jan, we desperately need to buy a striker in Jan. Also Lloris didnt exactly live up to the billing of a far Superior goalkeeper to Brad

Taking this as sanguinely as I can - thought we were better than the 5-2 last season and that was with a man more.

But - please get Gallas out now. He really is fucking past it. His continued selection is simply baffling.

An impressive second half performance, entirely due to our manager, who showed balls of steel to set the team up the way he did and made the most of his limited resources, after been badly let down by his players (some more than others) in the first half. Methinks he's been wanting to try the 3-man defence for a while now but knew he'd be crucified for it under any other circumstances. I expect that second half to be the turning point of our season.

Ironic isn't it. This game might free AVB up a bit more. He can now see that being adventurous and imaginative pays.
