Imagine that! We get an early goal, news comes in that Arse have gone 2 - 0 up and Everton have just scored. AVB takes off Dawson and Parker for Defoe and Siggy and we go on to win 15 - 0. Chelsea are doing a lap of honour after losing 1 - 0 and the news filters in! The Chav stadium goes into stunned silence :)

Where's the optimistic rating gone?

Every year someone says this - it'll be much harder next year and this was our chance. But that's the challenge at Spurs. You have to progress as a team and squad to even stand still, let alone climb a couple of places.

And I'm not sure the managerial merry-go-round plays into those teams' hands. If that was true, then we could join them on that score. Moyes is a good appointment, but a post-Alex hangover might be on the cards. Pellegrini is a good appointment, but hasn't been in this league before. If Jose comes back it could be good for Chelsea or it could be the fulfillment of the old adage about it never being a good idea to return. Liverpool are still flakier than we are.

I don't think we need to spend money we don't have. I'd be happy to spend what we do have and for AVB to want more than 2 strikers in the squad, with some back up on the wings.

I was literally saying that exact thing in my head before i read your post.

Same comment every year.. top 4 will be harder blah blah. It is what it is, some teams improve some get worse. Whatever happens we will be there or there abouts.

Fuck it, I'm glad Wigan went down. Not in these circumstances, but apart from the 9-1, I've never really enjoyed playing them and the contribution their 50 traveling fans make wont be missed by me.
