Same couple, 3 years apart. What watching Arsenal will do to you.

I don't understand why anyone would want to go to them at the moment. It's pretty much public knowledge how toxic the atmosphere is at the moment, their best players are all about to leave and their semi-decent players are leaving next season for free as well. If you're a top player like Aubameyang, why would you want to waste your career away being part of a rebuild project at Arsenal? Best case scenario, this clear-out is exactly what they needed to get a fresh start and in 4-5 years they're back to being a force again, by which time you'll have just spent the last few years of your career competing for 5th place and not winning anything. Just seems daft to me.

Money. He's 29 soon. Last chance of a big $$$ contract.

Probably. I guess ultimately that's what drives everyone. Just seems like a waste though. He's had a decent career at Dortmund don't get me wrong, but he could've been a star for some of the best teams in the world and this is his last chance to get a move to a team that can win big things. Seems like a shame to waste it being a big fish in a small pond during Arsenal's rebuild.

Bigger $$$ contract available in China...
Look at Tevez as the prime example. Openly admits he never wanted to go there, but it was a 7 month "holiday" (his own words) that earned him the best part of £30 million.

Maybe he doesn't want to go to China.

This is such an odd one, cause objectively speaking if all this goes to plan Arsenal are gonna get 2 very good players. But I don't feel like they're winning or doing well at all with these deals.

Selling to a rival is dumb. Selling to a rival in the same league is even dumber. As for the replacements, it's very likely they're gonna get one player who doesn't want to be there (to add replace a player who doesn't want to be there). And adding a good footballer with a history of attitude problems who's been dropped and disciplined by his club multiple times despite his talent. It just feels like another case of them papering over the cracks.

It's frustrating cause history says they'll somehow make it work. They'll win the league cup or the Europa and despite all their other failings it won't be all bad.

If they can get Mkhitaryan in as part of the Sanchez deal they'll have their replacement for Ozil sorted I suppose which is quite a smart move. Saying that isn't Ozil also rumoured to be going to United in the summer? If United end up with both of Arsenals best players they'll be a laughing stock (or more of a laughing stock). They seem to be a feeder club for the Manchester clubs over the last few seasons.

Few arsenal itks reckon that Ozil is actually signing a new deal

Mkhitaryan will probably do alright for Arsenal.

It's going to come down to which of the effects outweigh each other. The Mourinho effect making him better now the shackles are off and the Wenger effect making him worse because of his poor coaching.

Reckon he'll hit the ground running initially then probably get fed up and tail off :D

A few arsenal itk's are in for a shock.

I'm not so sure. I honestly don't think there'll be as much demand for him as he thinks there will be, especially if he wants absolutely crazy money. I'm not really sure where he'd go. Off the top of my head, out of all the clubs who can realistically afford him, he wouldn't get in the team at most of them so I doubt they'd want to pay him a shit load to bring him in. Man Utd makes the most sense out of anyone in the PL but even still I'm not really sure they'll want him, especially if they're spending the reportedly eye-watering amount of money on Sanchez. If Arsenal offer him a massive contract I wouldn't rule it out completely.
