You know Milan have fallen a long way when...

Fabio Borino (he of shit Sunderland striker fame) is now their right back, and ex-Blackburn wonder striker :cautious: Nikola Kalinic comes on to rescue a game for them.

Fun fact: Fabio Borini survived an abortion whilst in the womb and was subsequently known as El Abortio in his early/teen years :bookworm:

fair play to the Guardian play by play:

Another quick word about the penalty: Welbeck might claim that there was a hint of contact so he was entitled to go down, but that is piffle. A couple of people have emailed in to wonder why I didn’t call it cheating, and they’re right - Welbeck dived, or if you prefer the umbrella term, he cheated.

though this was a good counter:

“I respectfully disagree on it being a Welbeck dive,” writes AB Parker. “Welbeck can barely control his own feet. If he tries to shoot, he trips over. If he tries to control the ball, he passes it 10 feet wide. If he’d tried to dive, he’d probably have scored a goal by accident.”

The standard is atrocious, and to think they even have an extra official there, who just seems to always miss everything.

I didn’t think they were allowed to get involved in penalty area decisions anyway. That they were only there to see if the ball crossed the line because uefa refuse to have actual goal line technology because they can’t make money out of it themselves.

They'll win this now, can feel it in my bones. Even if it's by luck.

Only consolation is it will keep Wenger in a job and all their fans can stay angry next season.

If he's clever he would retire with the EL trophy in his hands... but then again, he passed such a chance last year after winning the FA cup

So, I didn't see the second leg, but after seeing the first I think it's safe to say that the Goons still haven't played anyone worth remembering yet and only scraped through in the previous round. There is no way, they are winning this!

No chance he will retire off his own back. He’s not passing up on that type of cash. He’s still presumably got his ex-wife to pay off hasn’t he.
