Pretty annoying Arteta didn’t get the arsenal job in the end. They’d be a shit show.

Agree. I don't think Emery is going to turn them into world beaters either, but he's at least a steady pair of hands. Arteta would've been a complete shit show. Just because he's a good coach doesn't mean he can manage. Plenty of people more experienced than him have tried and failed. That's not to say he can't be a good manager down the line, but the idea of him becoming a top 6 manager without ever having managed even a youth team game before was just laughable.

 Sorry but I'm with Gunnersaurus on this. If the kid wants to score then they need to take a better penalty.

A friend has text to say that her 9 yr old son has switched allegiances from arsenal to us after watching the World Cup. She said all his favourite players were Spurs players “no arsenal players play for England Mum, I’m supporting Spurs!”
Apparently all his shirts, posters etc have been binned ?

Weak parenting. That kid should grow up to hate us.

Serious question: would it be worthwhile taking a punt on him? I think he's a very good player. Jack Pitt-Brooke wrote that he would have shone in a Pochettino side.

Yeah he would have if Poch got his hands on h a few years ago, right now though I'm not sure how he fits into a Poch team.

If we can't afford a big ticket mid-fielder right now, he might do as a stop gap for 3 seasons or so.
