Cousin reckons will be Arteta and he’s vaguely itk. Taking a punt he will be the next pep.
Seems very unlikely, zero management experience, only been a coach for a couple of seasons.
They're a massive club, although it'd be funny watching their fans melt if he was appointed.

Can't see it, would be a big risk appointing someone with no experience at a club the size of Arsenal.. maybe if Ancelloti got job they could bring someone like Arteta, Henry or Bergkamp as no.2 to take over in 2/3 seasons time... They would be mad to not go with an established manager

Whoever they appoint I think the Arsenal fans are going to be in for disappointment. They wanted Wenger out because they don't compete for the title any more, but I can't see them mounting a title challenge for the next few seasons anyway. To do that they'd either need to outspend the Manchester clubs each season, or they'd need someone with a long term plan who can get the team playing and improving through coaching and long term investment.

I didn't realise Atletico were in such poor form in Spain. Apparently they've been using the same very small pool of players all season and they're exhausted. No wins in 5 away from home. Diego Costa not fit. If the scum get a big win tonight they've basically won this tournament .

Obviously wont be Van Gaal but I put on a lady at 100s with Paddy Power about 20 minutes ago and it's now at 33s. Unibet lowest price at 14s.

This is the same scum who haven't won away from home in the league in 2018. Not as if their form is infinitely batter than Athletico's.

Exactly. The landscape has changed and they cant deal with it. I see a title challenge MAYBE once every 5 years if they're lucky and if they're really lucky win it 1 in 10 but I cant see that either.
Any world class player is gonna be poached before they get him.

New manager or not. It’s a long way back for them. Check the team they put out against united this weekend. Will be Cech holding chambers kolasinac maitland iwobi Aubameyang and 4 kids. We could put out an international 2nd xi.

Dear Woolwich.

If you don't beat Man United on Sunday - it becomes St Arseholes Day.

P.S. Spurs are playing Monday night.

Simeone is exactly the type of manager they should go for. He’d rip up the squad and start to make them hard to beat.

But and this is the trouble with whoever they get in, their fans won’t be patient. That vocal minority who have wanted wenger out for ages will want instant success when the new guy comes in. I don’t think their fan base has the patience to wait for their club to be rebuilt, which is what will need to happen.

Whoever they get in, unless he’s someone with a really strong no nonsense personality and that he is totalling backed by the board and their fans ignored, they will struggle. Plus they need to spend a fortune or scout really well to get better. They need a summer like Arnesen had with us.

I've heard a few Arsenal fans say "Even with 11 men we were the better team them". Really? It was 9 minutes into a 180-minute tie in which Arsenal were the home team, you'd expect to start stronger than the opposition.

Arsene Wenger admitted that Arsenal missed enough chances to have already reached the Europa League final and claimed that his players did not benefit from playing for more than 80 minutes against only 10 Atletico Madrid players

The 10th minute dismissal of Sime Vrsaljko helped Arsenal dominate the match but, even with 76 per cent of possession and 28 shots, this first leg ended with what Wenger called the “worst possible result” in the context of his team’s chances.

“The result is not in line with the performance,” he said. “Once they went down to 10 men it destroyed a bit the flow of the game and it was not to our advantage. You come out with a bitter taste because we had the chances to be in the final tonight.
